It's ok, its razer after all. I just wish the ear pieces were bigger as they are quite small for over the ear and did hurt after a while. Black shark is way better, heck even the tiamat is better. Go with those. Sound is cool and the mic is the usual average.

Sound quality is nice and crisp, but could stand to be louder (which is something I never understood). I probably feel that way because I came from using a razer blackshark for years (that set gets loud at amazing quality - its a shame best buy stopped carrying it). I tried the G35, the Kraken, and even some from other brands I wouldn't normally try (ie. like turtle beach). Sounded better than both, fits better and is more comfortable than either; however, as I used a second mic, I can not vouch for the A40's though like any other headset I would always recommend a stand alone mic.
TL;DR Don't get the blackshark > A40 > kraken > brands that make headsets for consoles > logitech anything
