This is an ok product. Compared to the other teleconverters from Nikon, it is not that sharp. The 1.4, and 1.7 are much sharper than this. I did not see any auto-focus problems. It was tack-on in all situations. Give it plenty of light, it performs, but in low light situations, this struggles to perform in terms of sharpness.

Nice addition to make my 70-200 be 119 - 340 mm. It is sharp compared to the 20e iii version. I did not see any loss of auto-focus. There is a compromise of 1.5 stops of light, but still it is worth it.

Can you use this mount without an umbrella? I'm needing for my Insignia External Flash only. Also, will it fit my Insignia External Flash, some of the reviews stated that the shoe mount didn't fit all flashes, as it's the same brand I'm assuming it does.

This is a good deal. But only concern is non VR 70-300 lens. Two questions: 1. Can I take crystal clear scenic beauty with this lens ? 2. What are the extra features we will miss over here due to non-VR?
You can take sharp images with this lens if your camera is on a tripod. Or, if the shutter speed is set to a higher number, i.e. if your lens is at 300mm, the recommended shutter speed is 600 or above, provided there is enough light.

Can anyone tell me what size filters these lenses that come in the package kit take? I have an older Nikon D3200 that uses 52mm filters. Just curious about whether I'll be able to use those or whether these lenses that come with the D7200 use a diff size?
