Better than wifi, these powerline adapters will expand your network. Just make sure you have free electrical wall sockets. They do not work as well when plugged into a power strip.

once the devices are plugged in and the the netgear network shows up, what password do you use?
You will not need to enter a password. This uses ethernet not WiFi.
