A noticeable difference on my 4K OLED LG TV compared to my regular Xbox One. I purchased this console primarily for the 4K blu-ray movie playback as I already own an Xbox One but the gaming quality is also much better! For someone simply looking to turn a lamp on or off or set it on a timer, these are perfect. I don't use the power monitoring feature too much personally, but I do use them with my Echos. I purchased these as an upgrade to the previous Insignia Smart plugs, which also are great, but these work with Apple Homekit as well. I use them for my Christmas lights to be able to set them on a schedule, or turn them on or off as I choose. Great little plugs for the price!

I picked up this system as an upgrade from my Google Wi-Fi (an already incredible system that's difficult to top) and I was highly impressed. It takes a little longer to set up compared to the Google Wi-Fi but once it's up and running it's worth it. The connectivity is great, the routers will alert you if they're offline, they have ethernet ports for direct connectivity, the app lets you know how many devices are connected and to which node, you can prioritize up to 3 devices for connections, run speed tests on your connection, and much more. I've only had this system for a week and it is well worth it!

The toaster itself is very cheaply made (granted it is pretty cheap) but even worse than that, a piece of bread does not even fully submerge into the toasting slot! Which means if you want all of your bread toasted, you'd have to turn it upside down and put it back in the toaster! Total waste!

Will this plug work outdoors for controlling holiday lights?
I do not believe that the plug itself is rated for outdoor use. You could probably use it at a covered outlet that would protect it from the elements. The only other concern is that it has to be within range of your Wi-Fi network. So if it's too far outside of your house/Wi-Fi range or it has a weak connection, the connectivity and therefore functionality will not be good.

Struggling I feel like they should've been better instructions I bought the two pack velop. I have it set up my question is does one of the units need to remain hardwired to the Comcast Xfinity box? Or can I reposition it to another location ?
Yes! One of the Velop nodes must remain connected to your modem/router as the "parent node". This is the node that will actually project and provide internet to the remaining nodes you place around your house. You can expand Velop up to, I believe, 12 nodes. So, if you're having a weaker connection in some areas, you can add more nodes down the line to the system to make it larger and stronger.
