First, my setup is 3.1, not 5.1. I have yet to purchase the rear wireless speakers, so my review is just of the base, 3.1 system.
I have had soundbar systems in the $400 range and always resisted going up to the more pricey systems. I looked at Sonos and it is limited for A/V, which is my primary use. Plus, the strengths of the Sonos have been met handily by Bose with their app for streaming audio wirelessly.
In the past I have avoided Bose because it seemed trendy and overpriced. Having had this now for over a month, I am blown away by it daily. The sound is truly amazing. Watching shows that have good sound design and mixing will never be the same! Because the system comes with room setup software for the initial setup, I don't really feel a need for the rear speakers, but I'm sure at some point I'll try them out. Hopefully they are worth it. Just saying, because if you are on the fence about 3.1 or full 5.1, this system performs great with the base purchase.
Here's where I really like this system for TV/movies: with my old Sony soundbar, dialog was inevitably much quieter than the sound effects/music in the background. So, if a part of a show was really filled with action and noise, I'd have to turn down the audio and then turn it back up for dialog-heavy sections. The Bose is perfectly balanced and requires none of that.
For music: I stream via bluetooth to it using Apple Music; the Bose app has built-in streaming via Amazon Music (which I use as well) and a few other providers. It's great for my whole family to have access to turn on music whenever they want from anywhere in the house.
Finally, this is probably not the best audio system if you don't want to wake the neighbors. In other words, this is really good quality audio with which you will hear subtlety that you are unused to. This causes the volume to rise, I've found. It's not that it's loud, so much as it is filled with clarity. The booms are boomier and the screams are screamier. It draws you into whatever you are watching. (Just saw "Solo" yesterday and remarked how bad the audio was at the theater- it really bugged me. That's how much better my audio is!) But . . . it will wake the neighbors if you live too close. If I watch a movie after my kids go to bed, they inevitably complain.

Great power protector, but very expensive. If you have something that needs good protection, get it. Otherwise, a lesser-costing strip is better. I use it for TV, Xbox, AppleTV, Roku at my TV cabinet. Lots of expensive equipment worth spending to protect.

Roku is the best streaming device available right now. I know that the Apple fanboys will disagree but I can't find the flexibility in the Apple TV that you get in the Roku. I know Apple TV is catching up, but for a flexible and powerful solution, GET THE ROKU! There are small complaints that I have (native ability to read VOB files from the USB port) but overall there isn't a better streaming device out!

I am surprised at how little innovation exists in this device. I like the health options (I use it in conjunction with MyFitnessPal app on the iPhone) but other than that, there are very limited options for what would seem to be very nice innovations. For example, purchasing Omnifocus allows some very neat features for reminding, tasks, etc., but why not with the built in apps in iOS? Typical of Apple, I'm sure they are planning something like it in a future update, but nothing by now? Disappointing. No way to keep the watch on and charge it, so sleep monitoring (even if it could do it!) is impossible. In other words, this is more of an electronic device than a watch. I think there is a long way to go for this device yet, and the brightest at Apple were unable to come up with solid innovations in order to make this a truly innovative watch. Samsung and especially Motorola have devices with good features as well, but none of the e-watch companies have combined features to make them compelling to buy. I wouldn't recommend this device to anyone other than the disposable income crowd. If you like having the latest tech or there is a killer app that works for you (like Omnifocus or some of their exercise apps) then fine, but other than that, it is truly optional tech right now.

It is affordable and, quite frankly, what I'm used to. Looked at a bunch of different units and this just works! Happy with the updated version and it functions just like I'm used to. Not too difficult to hang over the stove, though it is a bit different than the old model so I had to put bolts in different locations, but other than that I'm happy with the microwave!

When it says 1or 4 year subscription what happens when the subscription expires will it still be useable or what
The software has to "phone home" periodically, when you connect to the Internet and this is how Microsoft knows if you are using their software with a valid subscription. Once it has expired, the software will no longer work. You are in essence "renting" the software with the subscription.

Not sure why you would want to convert a PDF to a jpg file, as PDF files are much more common and everyone can read them. Can it be used with Iphone 5s?
If you can post a link to the powerstation you are looking at, I can tell you. In general, the Mophie external chargers have a USB connector on them that allows you to connect any charger that has a USB end on it. Hence, the Iphone 5s lightning charger would work.

Bose QC 15 vs. Beats Executives
I have done my homework on these two remarkable headphones. I have never used Bose before (just demoed them @ a local Best Buy). I like the QC noise cancelling, but I don't know if they will provide enough of the good low-end sounds that any music listener wants.
However, I am a frequent Beats user. I have a pair of Solo HD's. I'm not too pleased with how much overpowering bass there is. I'm always adjusting the EQ to "Bass Reducer." I like the styling of the Executives over the QC 15s, but I don't want the bass to be overpowering like other Beats products. Which one is a better value for the money, under my preferences?

My experience is that you get less bass when any headphone is in noise cancelling mode. If you put the same headphones in pass-through mode (turn off noise cancelling) you will notice an increase in bass. It is due to the noise-cancelling functionality. If you like bass, don't get the QC 15's.

Do I need a cable box to continue to see my favotrite shows? Speaking basic channels with expanded service. We do not use HBO, other premium channels.
If you live in an area that has over-the-air signals, you can get basic channel via HD with just an antenna. I happen to live in a very mountainous region and cannot get over-the-air signals so it is not possible for me.
