I had Comcast's modem/router and even though I ha high speed going into it just 12' away it was slow. With the Netgear I now have high speed internet through out the house

Not so computer savvy

I've got a large house and my current modem and router are set up in the center of my house. Service though Comcast is spotty. Does this need to be set up anywhere in particular? Also does it affect my current connection? Can this be used specifically for one computer in my house?

I used Comcast's modem router with no success I purchased the Netgear router modem and it works great. I called Comcast Tech support and they active my new router/modem with no issues and if you are currently renting your modem from Comcast you will save around $10 a month on your bill. That will pay for you new equipment in no time
