A reasonable inexpensive tablet

This tablet is fine if you're not expecting too much out of it. Everything about it is simply acceptable.
Screen: the screen is not very sharp, and the colors aren't very vibrant, but it is serviceable for web-browsing as images tend to show up fairly clearly. I wouldn't use it for extended reading, however, as the text tends to appear a bit blurry.
Speakers: there is always a bit of distortion with the speakers. I don't know if it is just the tablet I have, or if it is all of this model, but with playing music or watching videos on YouTube, there is always some static.
Battery: I have only put the tablet through light use, but would estimate that the battery will last for about 3 days at a time under such conditions (WiFi on, occasionally looking at email, an hour or two of web browsing each day).
Build: the tablet itself feels fairly solid. It looks nice, and doesn't creak or flex. The back is a textured plastic which feels very grip-y, but may not be everyone's cup of tea.
Camera: I don't care much about the functionality of a tablet camera, but this one doesn't have very good resolution. Full disclosure, I only took a couple of pictures and looked at them on the tablet's admittedly sub-optimal screen. It is possible that they would be clearer on a better screen, but I don't know anyone who uses a tablet as a primary camera, so I don't care enough to test it out.
Software: If you've ever had any Acer product, you know that they have their own suite of software and apps to load on to any device. These can all be disabled or uninstalled.
They did put one nice feature into Android, however. The blue light from electronics screens is known to mess with circadian rhythms (prevent falling asleep). They added a built-in blue-light filter that you can toggle on/off from the drop-down menu. This is a nice feature.
They also made a rather unusual tweak to the volume rocker. The side that is + and the side that is - will switch based on holding the tablet in portrait or landscape. It is very odd to have this, though there is some underlying logic. Holding the tablet in portrait, the + side is facing up. Holding the tablet in landscape makes the button on the right side the +, following the slider that appears when you press the volume buttons.
Overall, a reasonable tablet for someone not expecting too much.
