There really isn't much use for these amiibos. Nintendo could have done so much more with these, like allow these to be used to allow people to catch a rare pokemon in the 3ds versions of pokemon X/Y/ORAS! They are only good if you are a collector.

The only way to get this Amiibo at retail price is to go into your local Bestbuy Store and see if they have it. Bestbuy wouldn't let me order it online due to scalpers and low stock issues. Bying them in store is the only way retailers know how to slow the constant scalping of rare Amiibo like this one.

Can you order the season pass separately from the game? (In store)
Not at the moment, but it could pop up, but they never said it would which gives me the impression that it won't. I would recommend just buying a $20 e-shop prepaid card and using that to purchase the season pass online, if you are like me and refuse to use your credit card or debit information on the e-shop. If you have paypal the e-shop also accepts that as well. The only thing I don't know is if the season pass will be taxed or not.
