Works well, no remote pricey for what you get

few things that I want to highlight that might help other buyers
1. Since this version of chromecast has seperate power supply even when you turn of the TV if you forget to stop streaming via youtube or netflix it keeps playing even TV is turned off, I wish it recognizes the TV is off and shuts down.
2. Make sure if you turn on HDMI UHD Color setting on in the TV settings to have chromecast play HDR content from youtube or netflix.
3. I prefer having a remote but as previous chromecast this uses phone as remote, at this price its annoying to keep using phone to play pause & scroll the video for fastforwarding and so forth. Also as previous chromecast the longer the phone is in sleep it looses connection to chromecast and makes play pause difficult.

TV Stand is good looking, but I was expecting to be brown as in the picture but its almost dark espresso color. The back wire openings is good enough for may be routers/ PS3/Xbox but for a AV receiver the depth is not enough so I had to cut open the back opening to accomodate the receiver.
There is very little ventilation when the doors are close, PS3 gets heated up quite a lot, might have to open up the back opening futher to help with air circulation.
Takes a while to assemble, i would say a bit hard to follow the instructions provided.

Do you have to have a 4K Ultra HD & HDR capable TV for this to work?
Nope it detects what display you have and adjust the chromecast output but if you dont have 4K TV this is an overkill probably better off buying chromecast 2.
