Had to buy my wife a new laptop last year when her old one died and my son had a chance to try it out and loved win8. I have always had a preference for asus as they make good products and this laptop is no exception. works very well and my son is able to play all of his games and talk to his friends with no problems. worked great right out of the box. would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking for a new laptop.

What's great about it: my son loves it.
What's not so great: in my opinion because it has win8.1 but he does not have a problem with that as he likes win8 so no problem

what is network connection error?
WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT TO NETFLEX I get a network error.
have had that problem once and it was because, somehow, the cable connecting the blue ray to the router had become disconnected. this one is not wireless, you have to run a cable from a router lan port to the lan port on the blueray player. once you do that, connection is easy.

Games
I'm looking at getting this laptop for my son. He wants to use it for some games like Minecraft, Plants vs. Zombies, Grand Theft Auto. Is this laptop capable at playing these games.
Bought one for my son for his birthday and he loves it. He plays minecraft and plants vs zombies also and he has had no problem playing them on it.
