Great battery life. Looks nice. HAS A BUILT IN MIC!!!! and that was an exciting surprise. It also has a mic on the line you plug into the phone but let's be real...Who uses those. I tested it out anyways and just don't do what I did and plug in the wire upside down and end up with the mic in your pocket.
Only downfall. The volume is not as loud as I would like it buy may be ok for you. But for the price this is the "Best Buy" that you will find. I also wish it came in a light pink so I could get one in a color my wife wants.

Works perfect with Cable One. I have the 200 mbp plan and it keeps up with no problems. When plugging in a wireless router the modem automatically detects it and lets the router set up the IP address so there is no conflict. No settings to change so your modem and router will not conflict. I paired this with the Netgear Blackhawk and turned on all 16 of my devices and set them all to stream YouTube videos. This modem did not blink an eye and took it like a champ. I currently run 3-5 devices at a time and gaming is part of it. This little power house packs a punch.
Only downfall is it has 1 Ethernet port so be ready to have a good router.

So I gave this 1 star because I expect all aspects of my devices to work when I buy them. I actually bought 2 of these, both in February. Within 2 months the remotes of both failed. The living room remote was using batteries every 3 days. The bedroom remote just quit responding with the stick. The bedroom remote still controlled my TV's volume but not the stick itself. After contacting Roku they did respond quickly, and I was sent new remotes for both units. Strangely, The new living room remote drained 2 sets of NEW batteries in the first week, and the bedroom remote still would not control the stick. I asked if there could be a problem with the stick sending bad signals to the remote causing a battery drain, or a bad receiver in the stick itself causing it to not properly respond. I was told, BY A ROKU REP, it could not be the sticks and it had to be a remote problem. I just find it hard to believe that I would receive 2 new remotes with identical problems. I spoke with friends who owned Roku sticks, and was told to "just throw the remotes away." Theirs failed as well. I was also told that one of their remotes melted on the inside. After my experience, reading forums, and hearing other's experiences I can firmly say that Roku makes a junk remote.
There are a couple of pluses to these Roku sticks.
(1)They have an app that you can download on any smart device and use your phone, tablet, etc. as a remote as long as you have WIFI.
(2)It responds MUCH faster than a Fire stick.

As long as you don't mind 1 of the 2 major components, that you are paying for, failing then this might be a good fit for you. For me, I expect my purchase to work.

I bought this when there were very few reviews. I wanted a good gaming laptop, and chose this blindly over the 502. I play mostly blizzard titles (WOW & StarCraft II). I am very happy with this little beast. In WOW - In dungeons, it will run 115+ FPS on Ultra. Open world it will run between 45-75 FPS on Ultra. If you want a good gaming laptop then this is the one. Love the big screen. So happy I waited 2 days for this to come in instead of getting the 502 that was in stock.
Some Pros:
If you are stuck trying to pick this 702 or the 502... look at the back with the screen open. You will see the screen on the 502 blocks the exhaust ports. The 702 will not.
The speakers are tiny but I am surprised about how much sound comes out of them. Don't expect amazing sound, but they sound amazing compared to their size.

This thing gets VERY hot. I have seen the core temp get to 94c. (Use the ROG Gaming Center software to turn the fans up and you can keep the temp under control.)

I am not sure if they still sell the 702 or 502 with the GTX1060, but spend the extra $$ and get the 1070 for the desktop graphics.

After first boot up, I installed 2 games and my antivirus software. I tried to run the ROG Gaming Center software and it crashed every time I tried to open it. I found the problem was with AVAST. I even tried adding it to trusted programs. Nothing worked. Had to uninstall and get a different antivirus.

I use this for audio on 3 different YouTube channels, and so far it is great. It survived a neck high drop on the concrete. The back popped out slightly. I pushed back together; everything went back in place; and all is well.
The noise reduction switch works great. I film in a place with a lot of echo and wow this knocks it out of the park. I have never had the need to buy an SD card for it, but love that I have the option. Audio is great for what I do.
Cons:
The recording quality is a tad off when I am NOT using a mic. But, since I never planned to use this without a mic, that doesn't bother me. I only did that to test it out.

What is the difference between the Roku stick and the Alexa fire stick?
Roku is an independent company. You can install almost anything on it. You can even install Amazon video. Fire Stick is an Amazon product and amazon limits what you can install. For example: CURRENTLY you will not be able to install VUDU onto a fire stick because it is direct competition with Amazon Video. I have 2 fire sticks and 2 roku sticks. There are no words to tell you how much slower a fire stick is compared to Roku.

Installed the model 3800R and it's working fine, as long as the external power source is plugged in to the stick. It appears like my TV is not able to power the stick through the HDMI plug only. Is it safe to keep the power into the stick on all the time?
You can, I did not have any problems. I eventually found a USB port on my TV itself. Like mine, some TV USBs have enough power output, in the build in USB, to power the stick so you don't have to look for a plug. The HDMI itself does not supply power to the stick. The plus is when the TV is turned off the stick is also turned off when being powered by the USB built into your TV..
