Pretty Good Vacuum for the price

Pretty good vacuum for my 90% hardwood floor home. Needed something light weight and quiet to do quick clean ups on rugs and bedrooms, this is a great vacuum for that. Would recommend for smaller homes and wood floors. Not the best for a large carpeted home.

What's great about it: Does suck up everything!
What's not so great: Not crazy about the fact you have to connect the hose extension every time and then unconnect

How do I reconnect the rubber stretchy hoses?
Both of the rubber stretchy tubes have become disconnected from the vacuum - like the glue holding it in just didn't hold up. I bought this vacuum 6 months ago. The hose on the stair extension disconnected a month or two into my purchase, but I made due without it. Today, while cleaning for a party at my house, the hose that connects the main suction to the dirt cup came undone. Now I have no way of vacuuming my house and I'm really disappointed with my Hoover. Is there a way to reconnect the hoses? Or do I need to run out and purchase a new vacuum - again?
The tube is tricky, it has to be actually latched on to both the extended handle (after its removed fromt he main vacuum) and then again to the bottom of the vacuum. Hope this helps

does the unit have an adjustable height brush roll?
If so what are the levels available?
No it does not. The brush can be turned on for carpet and off for hard floors, no adjustable height.
