The Garmin Vivofit fitness band with heart rate monitor is the perfect fitness tracker for any beginner trying to get into shape. I, myself, feels that is should have more features and is just plain. I purchased as a gift for my wife and there were some issues with it. I found it hard to link up with the heart monitor and the step counts were off compared to another tracker I own. Like I said, I believe that this would be a perfect fitness tracker for a beginner.

I would assume that it can since it does have an USB port for external hard drive connection. I would still review the manufacturer's website to ensure compatibility with this hard drive brand.
