Install: Poor; Best Buy making it right: Excellent

Conflicted here. I'd give install a 1. Best Buy intervened, and I'd give that a 5. Averages to a 3.
[I also understand that on my install, they had to "3rd party" it. That 3rd party was being changed out, and I got one of the last installs with the old company...]
How'd install go? Well, it was by far the worst appliance install I've ever had. They were over 2 hours late. They didn't even turn the machine on to make sure it worked (after they scratched it getting it into the house). They had crossed the hot and cold hoses. And, they didn't attach the drain hose to the utility sink (though they DID attach it to the washing machine). Luckily, washing machines are easy to install. So, I could correct everything except the scratch (but, if you're going to have a scratched appliance, is there a better one to get scratched than a washer/dryer?!). After getting the install right, I just had to read the manual to understand operation. Fairly easy, but I HAD expected the install to go more smoothly than that!
Best Buy tracked down the late crew by getting their dispatcher on the line. Once they heard how the install went, they were very conciliatory in their approach to fixing the situation. I felt valued and satisfied at the end of the process. In fact, Best Buy's interaction with me on this frustrating event has solidified my willingness to buy appliances from them going forward!

These stainless-steel washing machine fill hoses are ideal for connecting most washing machines to hot and cold water.

Better than the old rubber ones!

What do you say about hoses? They work.
I was frustrated to have to get these with my installation (since my rubber ones work just fine). However, I have to admit, I DO like these hoses. Sturdy. Easy to install. Will hold up better than a rubber one.
(Aside: We lived in a house where the rubber hose wore a hole in it from the gentle agitation it received as the washer shook back and forth. After ~5 years with the hose rubbing against the wall, water broke through the weakened rubber and flooded the downstairs. Yeah, pretty sure that can't happen with these hoses...I shoulda switched to stainless after that event, but I just pulled the washer further from the wall.)
I'll probably go stainless from here on out.

Solid Elementary School Computer!

My kids keep having homework assignments requiring a computer (and the county has given them logins for the county site, which also contains some learning games and their grades). I can't keep having them parked in my office to do the work.
Got this computer as "their" homework computer. It's been great. Exactly what they needed. Memory, speed, and size fit their needs perfectly. I liked the refurbished nature of it, as it allowed me to get something a bit nicer for the same money I was looking to spend for a lower quality computer.
(Caveat: if you want to use this for a home computer or gaming or anything besides a basic, children's computer, I cannot speak to it's value/quality. That's not how we use it. You need something for [elementary] school? I highly recommend!)

Great washer, BUT...Samsung's problems

I'm conflicted in this rating. I'd rate it a 4/5 based on the washer. The washing machine has been great. Easy to use. We really like it. We've had no problems. I'd buy it again EXCEPT FOR...
Have you read about the washing machines from Samsung that "blow up"? That's right, it's not just their phones. Information came out ~3 weeks after ours got installed. (So, I am stuck with it.) However, I strongly recommend you search the articles and problems before you buy this machine. Had info been out before my purchase, I would have gotten a different brand.
I STILL would use Best Buy if I could do it again, though. Great customer service - both in store and online. (There was a slight hiccup with my delivery, but Best Buy stayed fully involved and made everything right.) They solidified in my mind that they are a great place to go for appliances!
