Great unit, fast speeds

I bought this item after realizing that I had been paying to rent a modem and router from the cable company, as this moderately expensive unit would pay itself off in less than two years (and I would own it!). Based on my past experience, I had always assumed that wifi in general was a hit or miss system, as I could often not load the simplest webpages using Safari. After purchasing this unit, I'm very impressed in almost every way. The webpages now load ridiculously fast, and I've NEVER dropped my signal while using it. The only feat that I would like to see improved is the range. While the range is overall "good" (and better than any unit I've personally seen), I would like to be able to call it "great." Reading other reviews, it appears to me that the best route to go is a top-end Arris modem and the new Netgear Nighthawk; that said, that's a MUCH more expensive option than this 2-in-1 unit.

Bottom line: This is an outstanding unit that I believe 99% of people would be very happy with. If you're the 1% that wants the absolute best of the best, I would suggest the combination I had mentioned above.
