I am very, very pleased with my new Samsung washer. It has a huge variety of cycles and seems to be extremely water-efficient. The "sink" feature is novel and handy for clothes requiring a little pre-wash TLC. The capacity of the washer tub is amazing. The machine is relatively quiet and does not vibrate excessively like some others do. So far as I'm concerned, this washer is the end-all be-all of washers, and I hope it proves to be as reliable as it is feature-laden.
Now the bad news, for the height-challenged... The wash tub is extremely deep. So deep, that if you aren't very tall or have short arms, you are not going to be able to reach things at the bottom of the tub, especially toward the back, without leaning on the washer, and I've read complaints from people that they have dented the machine that way. I'd say this machIne is not a good choice is you're shorter than, perhaps, 5'7" or so, but the only way to be sure would be to check it out in person at your Best Buy store. And if you have clothes in the back of the tub that you can't reach easily, simply rotate the tub so they're in front and reachable, rather than risking cosmetic damage to the machine by balancing your body weight on the machine to try to reach the back.
FYI, I'm 5'10" and have no problem reaching into the deep tub, so for me, it's definitely a pro and not a con. But I can definitely see that it would be a problem for someone several inches shorter. (My partner, who is 5'4", can't reach the bottom of the tub, for example.)
