This speaker system is simply amazing. The sound quality is very crisp and clear. This is not your standard "portable" speaker. This is a true stereo sound system that has it's own rechargeable power source. This truly cannot be compared to the Bose portable speakers. This thing is massive in comparison... And the sound quality is well worth the space.
I bought one to have as a primary countertop stereo that I could also drag outside for parties. I was so happy with my purchase that I bought a second, to pair with the first.
I've been simply blown away with the sound quality of this system. The bass is true without being obtrusive and the highs are crystal clear. Keep in mind, the sound is uni-directional on this speaker, so placement might be an issue for some users, depending on where you hope to put it. It's not really shelf or countertop friendly, but it does have a modern clean look that doesn't need to be hidden.
This system does not come with a remote, but I highly suggest that if you use the system on more than rare occasion, you purchase the remote that Aiwa makes specifically for the Exos-9.
If you're considering this speaker, and have the space for the larger (roughly 18x20 inches) Exos-9, buy it!
