I decided to give the Jawbone UP3 a try when the price was at $44.99, plus I used my $10 rewards, making my total $37! I figured it was worth a try at that price.
I've only used the UP3 for about a week now. It was very easy to setup and sync with my iPhone. I registered with Jawbone.com to sync data to the cloud so I can sync across my devices i.e. Apple and Android.
I especially like the sleep tracking, it gives me an idea of my sleep pattern, which helps me determine why I'm tired in the morning.
Thus far I am very pleased with the UP3 and it's tracking capabilities. It has been only a week, so I'll update more later.

Better than Apple's Keyboard

Personally I preferred the Logitech keyboard case over Apple's branded case. These are just a few reasons I've chosen the Logitech.
1. The design provided more protection of the device's front & back, unlike Apple's brand which did not feel as durable.
2. Logitech's keyboard was priced at $149 vs $169 for Apple. So I was able to use the extra $20 towards something else.

I've own many laptops, 2 in 1 for may years. Majority of them are Apple MacBook, MacBook Pro and and latest MacBook Pro Retina. I like the minimalist and industrial design of them. What drew by attention to the Surface Book was the design. I love the fact that it is a 2 in 1, the hardware build is exactly what I expect of a premium laptop/tablet.
I've had the Surface Book for almost a month, I am very pleased with it, basically the Surface Book revived Windows for me! For a while I was strictly using by MacBook Pro Retina, but now the Surface Book has been my go to laptop. I could go into more details but I would be writing for a while..lol.
For those who are on the fence about getting a Surface device, I would definitely recommend spending extra money for the Surface Book and skip the Surface Pro 3 or 4. You won't be disappointed!

Great for general multitasking

I upgraded to the Surface Pro 4 i5 4GB 128GB SSD days after using the Surface Pro 3 i3 4GB 128GB SSD. I was pleased with the upgrade until I started to use more then 3 or 4 applications (4 tabs on browser window, Mail, Microsoft Store, OneNote. I noticed some lag in performance and had to close a few browser tabs and MS Store to gain some memory back.
Overall it is a great 2 in 1 for lite users i.e. surfing the internet, streaming movies, Word processing, Excel.
My personal opinion it is a better option then the iPad Pro, which lacks the versatility due to lack of expansion, USB ports etc.

It is not waterproof, but splash proof based on Jawbone's website. Below is an excerpt from there website's FAQ.

trouble syncing with my phone
I have a LG smart phone
I had the original band and had no trouble syncing with my cell phone
Bought the Up3 and had to return it because it would not sync to my phone
Now my second one will not sync either
I have checked on both jawbone app and my phone and everything is updated
Is anyone else having the same problem?

Your purchase should come with a free Geeksquad setup. If you are having syncing issues on a second device, I would definitely take it into Best Buy and have Geeksquad assist. Take advantage of this service while it is included in your purchase, my not exactly sure when it expires, but definitely worth checking out.

can I add ram to a surface pro 4 that only has 4gigs
Unfortunately Microsoft only has the 8GB available on the Intel Core i5, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM model. So in order to get 8GB of RAM, you basically have to also get extra SSD space. Which means you'll end up paying $200-$300 extra just to get more RAM. But on the plus side you'll also gain more storage space.
Even if you take it to a computer repair shop to add extra RAM, it will cost you $200-$300 for labor and hardware. Not to mention you'll be risking voiding your warranty.

I have to do a lot of typing and with most laptops the mouse pad can make that a real pain, on my current laptop I just hit a button and I can turn my mouse pad off as to not brush the pad with my wrists causing my document to do things I don't want so on this laptop can you turn the mouse pad off?

what apps are available for either 3 or 4
With the Surface 3, Pro 3 and Pro 4; any applications that will install on your regular laptop or desktop will work. Keep in mind you are limited to storage space unless you plan on adding expansion with either micro SD or external HD.
Read the minimum system requirements by the software manufacturer prior to installing. They will specify the basic hardware requirement for their software to run smoothly.
