If you know you should expect a cycle that will run 1 1/2 to 2 hours because that's what new dishwashers do, then you will be pleased with the performance of this model! Newer dishwashers heat the water to a temperature that works great for washing and also so hot the dishes dry from the residual heat. It's quiet enough so that if your TV room is nearby, you can watch you shows while it runs after dinner- something which was a challenge for many of us growing up. Clean dishes and a good layout inside give this one a thumbs up!

I bought my viking because the brand is supposed to be so good, but I resold my Samsung Induction range with WiFi connection and virtual flame, so I feel I traded DOWN. This thing weighs 426 lbs (why?) so is a beast to install or move. The terminal block was upside down for proper install of the cord, so had to be flipped and all wires reinstalled to it. Didn't have an instruction book for it, so called the company 3 times for one. They finally sent one they printed on regular copier paper from their website. No clock on this for timed baking, nothing technical that something form the 70's probably didn't have. Granted, while WiFi on my old one was over the top, homeowners have had clocks on their stoves for decades. Unless I am blindly missing something, nothing special here!

Convection baking evens out the oven temperature to get the food better cooked from all sides, I recently discovered that you can use a squirt of oven cleaner on the top surface to easily get rid of that cooked on ring from boilovers on your burners. Try it, it will save you a bunch of muscle and possibly save you from scratching the glass!

Does the Bosch dishwasher Model SHX5AV56UC have heated air dry option AFTER the wash and rinse dry are completed? Does any Bosch model dishwasher have this feature? Do the dishes come out dry? Are the sidewalls of the dishwasher dry? Thank you.
There are no heating elements built in the bottom of many modern dishwashers like in the old days. Today's dishwashers superheat the wash water so that the remaining heat after the wash actually causes the dishes to dry. It isn't perfect, so I usually crack the door open a bit after the wash is done and allow some extra evaporation and cooling for a while before unloading. Just open the door and pull out the top rack a couple inches to prop the door open. I suppose this method of not using a heating element to dry things contributes to a lower electric bill. Any dishwasher manufacturer recommends unloading the lower rack first- this is to avoid spilling any moisture in upper rack items on the dry items in the lower rack (from overturned cups, etc.) .

why aren't full-sized templates available for OTR microwaves as replacements for lost/missing templates?
Purchased GE PVM9179SF1SS microwave from Home Depot. They had allowed a customer to return it to store minus hardware bag and template for drilling cabinet. Have located 3 3" long screws to mount micro to cabinet but all I've been able to acquire from GE is vent template, and that's on a sheet of paper from a copier. I need the full-sized template to drill cabinet and support bracket
Look through the other answers about carefully measuring where the holes go. I want to caution you to check the bolts you bought and make sure they thread into the microwave top easily with just your fingers. There are a couple of different thread styles in the microwaves depending on the manufacturer. I bought the wrong threads once and buggered up the nuts in the case, then had to take the case apart to replace the mounting nuts on the inside of the microwave's metal "shell"!

Where can I get an installation template?
I am moving my microwave to a new location where it will have an outside exhaust - the vertical configuration. Google couldn't find a cabinet mounting template for me, and I have long since lost the one that came in the box. Where can i get one? I am happy to download one and scale it up to the size necessary. My specific model number is JNM1851SM2SS. Thanks.
There are usually just 2 screws for suspending the microwave from the upper cabinet, so measure carefully (triple measure if needs be to be sure). Measure the distance out from the back wall and the distance in from the sides. Same for the hole for passing the cord up through. If you are a little bit off on your holes , enlarge them in the direction needed to avoid cross threading the bolts in the case-mounted nuts. Possibly use large washers if you had to enlarge the hole(s) much , a.k.a. "fender washers". If you REALLY screw up the holes, you will have to add a small board inside the upper cabinet of a piece of sheet metal most of the way across with holes in the right place. You could also carefully measure the locations of the old holes relative to the back and cabinet sides at your old location in your particular case.
