It's a cable so there's not much that can go wrong... My only gripe is they don't account for dumb dumb people like me that have never used an optical cable before haha. It doesn't say anywhere that the ends are a protective covering and to the naked eye it's not blatantly obvious that it is on the end. After a few attempts I figured it out though and felt like a moron.
10 thumbs up though for helping me hook my wireless LG soundbar to my new Sony TV!

Best TV Purchase, EVER!

I picked this up Sony model on Black Friday after my then LG 60" TV failed twice within 18 months.
I was hesitant on the Android based software coming from the typical 'smart TV' software from LG but now I won't own another TV that doesn't run Android software! The picture blows my old LG out of the water!
My only complaint is the sound quality but that's a common problem in my eyes with 99% of TVs these days as they are just too thin to have speakers that pack a punch. Thankfully my wireless LG soundbar was able to be hooked up to this Sony TV with an optical cord and all was good to go. The sound quality is the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars as with 5 stars it would have to be 'perfect' in my eyes.
Knock on wood I get more than 18 months out of this Sony haha. I'll never own another LG product after my fiasco with them that turned me into a now happy Sony owner.
