I have owned the Nikon 70- 300 and the Canon 70-300mm L in the past and this Sony has superior contrast, and sharpness than the lenses I have compared it to. My copy is corner to corner sharp at f8 and sharp in center wide open.

Excellent image quality of you get a good copy, but there is fairly high variability from sample to sample. In all cases it out performs the 24-70 f4 OSS, but a good copy will blow it away. Rated as 4 instead of 5 because of variability issue.

Lot's of nice incremental improvements to the 1DX which was already a great camera. Much better shadow recovery capability, faster AF which locks on even more solidly than the 1DX did, and a really nice silent shutter mode that is perfect for wildlife and churches.

I clean them down after each load, which is easy to do at eye height in a stacked dryer. This camera is a huge upgrade from the 5D III, not just in the number of pixels, but in the features and image quality. At ISO 100 it is the ultimate landscape and nature camera. I have used it for bald eagles in flight and landscapes in the Rockies and it is stellar for both. At 4.5 frames per second it won't replace my 1DX for birds in flight, but as a second camera with a short lens on, it will replace my 7D II. The pixel density is the same, and I am less likely to cut off wings with full frame vs 1.6X crop.

This camera is a great addition to the Sony A7 line-up adding in body image stabilization and fixing issues that existed in A7 (mount strength) and A7R (no electronic first curtain). Is this body compatible with Canon - EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens - White
When I filter the lenses by compatibility, this lens is not listed. I just want to make sure before I drop $2k on a lens that won't work with my camera body.
Yes it is compatible. I have no idea why they would filter that lens out.
