I bought this antenna in hopes to get good reception of local channels for a TV in my garage. Yeah... that didn't work. I think I picked up one or two channels that were not the FOX, CBS, ABC, etc. I was hoping for. So unfortunately I had to return this one and will need to start looking at either an expensive "attic" style antenna or just running a cable line out to the garage and getting another cable box.

I am far more impressed with this TV than I expected to be. Picture quality was quite nice, brightness and color quality were also above what I expected from a TV in this price range. I bought this to replace the living room TV at my parent's house and I couldn't be happier with the decision.
The built in Roku software made all the difference on this one. No more needing my parents to remember which input the cable box was on, or which input the DVD player was on. With this TV you can label every input with pictures and words.
The app store from Roku was also a huge plus. I can rest assured that as new apps and new software from Roku are released, this TV should get updates for years to come. If you go the route of a name brand TV with it's own "smart" software then beware that what it can access on the day of purchase is likely all you'll get for as long as you own that TV... likely no chance you'll ever get a real software update.
In my opinion TV manufacturers need to learn from Roku's entry into this market, they should manufacture the TV and leave the software up to someone else that can keep it up-to-date and loaded with the latest apps. I will definitely be looking for a TV like this when I need to replace my living room TV in a few years.

Great handheld without the battery woes

I bought this to replace/supplement my Dyson handheld. I was having some battery issues where the Dyson would randomly shut off and sometimes not even turn on. I personally love the concept of these new handhelds and was very pleased with the power and versatility of this model. And of course, the price was definitely a huge plus.
Comparing the Shark Rocket with the Dyson handheld, here is how it breaks down. Carpet goes to the Shark Rocket, the corded power of the brush head had the Dyson destroyed when it came to carpets. Hard floors was a pretty easy win for the Dyson, the Shark has a hard floor attachment but it requires a cleaning pad that needs to be washed after pretty much every use and the brush head doesn't clean hard floors that well. Ease of use goes to the Dyson hands down, no cords and no need to say more. Price is a clear cut win for the Shark, almost 100% as good as the Dyson for less than 50% of the price...
These are the only two real contenders for the new class of handheld uprights and the only reason to buy the Dyson over the Shark is for the cordless convenience, but that's only if that convenience is worth about an extra $100-200.

This was arguably the worst sounding speaker I have ever heard. I'm a bit of an audiophile, but this thing was just bad. The built-in so-call "subwoofer" was a catastrophe. Under almost any volume adjustment it sounded like it was a piece of paper flapping in the wind, the sound quality was horrific.
The blu-ray player worked just fine and the other speakers aside from the subwoofer sounded fair, but since you couldn't turn the subwoofer off or even just completely remove it from the rest of the product, everything just ended up sounding like garbage.
Resist the temptation to save a few bucks on this budget device and buy yourself something better. Just remember, you're worth it.

Best single speaker option, hands down

This is the perfect option if you're looking to increase your TV's sound but you (A) don't want the hassle of a surround sound system and (B) don't want to end up buying a speaker or soundbar that sounds like a tin can.
Just one word of caution, be sure to locate and use the dial on the back of the device that controls the bass output. If you leave it as it comes out of the box, you won't get much of anything in terms of bass. I turned mine all the way up and in my small den it sounds like I have a decent subwoofer setup without having an actual separate subwoofer.
Oh, and the other great thing about this speaker is that it's a Bose product. I've had Bose products for years and they do one thing right: they build products that last a very long time. So I'm pretty confident that I will have this speaker with me for many years to come.

Why are there no ratings? Is this a new item? Is it truly frost free? What is the spatula that is included, and what is it used for?
I've been running this fridge for two months and I can see what it means when it says frost free. There is very minimal frost buildup that seems to melt frequently. I'm guessing the spatula is just to scrape off that small bit of frost that remains. And when I say small I mean small circular spots of frost, not patches.

Distance from Tower
I'm 38 miles from the nearest tower. Will this indoor antenna work?
The short answer, maybe.
Yeah, I know that's not what you were hoping for. It depends on line of sight with the nearest tower, weather conditions, what materials your home is made out of (i.e. plaster walls kill signals), etc.
My advice would be to purchase this from a local Best Buy if you can and just test it out. The return policy is pretty great if you take it back within 14 days and you can always then try to swapping it for a more expensive and higher powered antenna, but only if you need to after you've tested it.

Treadmill interference?
We have this antenna hooked up to a digital HD TV where we exercise, so that is the only time we use the TV. It is placed behind the TV on a flat surface away from anything metallic; which is the only spot it can go. We get constant pixilation on all 25 channels we receive. Is it possible a treadmill could be causing some sort of "interference" with the antenna? The treadmill is approximately 8' from the TV/antenna & we are well within the 40 mile reception area, but are surrounded by many large trees on a flat terrain.
It's possible if your treadmill and TV are plugged into the same circuit on your house's electrical panel, but honestly it's very unlikely. If the picture quality is like that all the time, even when you haven't turned the treadmill on and started using it, then you just need a more powerful or more strategically placed antenna.

Issues with sound via soundbar
This seemed easy enough to hook up but we are not getting sound via our sound bar. Picture comes in great and we have sound when we switch to our cable box or thru regular TV speakers. sound bar is not muted. We've run the auto program several times with no change.
Your TV might have a setting that will either play sound through the built-in TV speaker OR externally to speakers like your sound bar. If you have you sound bar simply plugged into the output on your TV (which is a good way to go so it will cover all TV inputs) then be sure to search for this setting under the MENU on your TV.

My remote will not link with cable box
Your remote is not designed to work with anything but the Bose system. This is confusing because Bose designs and builds only one remote for all of their systems, so basically you have 50 extra buttons for your Solo 15 system when all you can use is volume and power...
