I was looking at the dot and the echo... after some research i learned that the major difference between the dot and echo is the speaker on the echo. However, I already had a bluetooth speaker so getting the echo seemed moot. I ordered the dot for $40, brought it home, downloaded the alexa app, connected it to my wi-fi and in minutes i was testing out the features... this device is going to make me lazier than i already am, and i'm okay with it. I haven't tested it out completely, but the dot can hear me half way down the hall without me screaming my head off. It's a great little product. Amazon is bringing out some great stuff...

I was looking for something to replace my 4 year old vacuum that no longer did its primary function of vacuuming anything... so i stopped in and looked around, and i have to say that I am pretty happy with the Shark vac. It took less than 3 minutes to assemble, it's powerful, it has headlights, for night time vacuuming I guess... and a couple of attachments. The best feature is the brush roller feature for carpeted areas. You can also turn off the feature when vacuuming hard wood or other non carpeted areas.

I wanted something for my office, and so I need something compact and easy to use. I've tried it a few times, and it did what it's supposed to. Clean up was done with a small wet towel, and it was easy. The settings knob on the front of it allows the user to control how "toasty" you want your sandwiches to be. The only drawback is that there is no power button, so the only way to turn it on and off is to plug it and unplug it...

i wanted a tv to place in the guest room and it's a nice little tv. The interface is surprisingly fast, and the picture isn't bad. I watched netflix and slingtv, and both ran fast and navigating with the roku remote had a little lag, but all in all not too bad.

I have been a pretty big fan of the Smash Bros. games since its debut on the N64. I played it again on the Gamecube, Wii, and the Wii U.
I have always wondered why the they never made a version of the game for the previous Gameboys/DS consoles. My guess is that the previous handhelds weren't powerful enough for that type of game to be designed properly.
Well, I must say that the game was well worth the wait. The game plays smoothly on the 3DS/2DS. The graphics are different from its Wii U counter part. That's mainly because the handhelds aren't HD. Despite the change in look, the gameplay is where the game shines. It's still the same great 4 player combat found on the previous versions.
You can play with other people in person, or online.
Nintendo has always fallen behind Sony and Microsoft in regards to a great online ecosystem for any of their consoles. That trend continues. Nintendo's friend code system is abysmal. Why they won't spend the money to make their own network is beyond me.
Anyway, aside from the frustrating online system, the game was always best played with people in the same room... or I guess in the same room with four separate 2DS/3DS'.
The game is great. Nintendo continues to milk their 1st party franchise titles... virtually ignore any 3rd party support, and push away any hardcore fan by not designing a dedicated network.

*Spoiler below*
After you "beat" the game, it has you beat the bosses again for about 6 more times in order to see the true ending. It was redundant, and less enjoyable each time around... it's almost as if they ran out of ideas.
I did enjoy it my first time around, and I look forward to the sequel.

I wanted a basic video camera to take with me on trips and to record a few documentaries. The camera records in 1080p. It has a touch view finder, and uses a regular sized SD card.
I popped in a 64 gb card and recorded a few videos on max settings. The sound on the mic is okay, so I ended up buying a mic with a pop filter and noticed a big change in sound quality.

I needed a small tv for the guest bedroom, and so I didn't want anything too big so I went with this 32 inch tv from Insignia.
I plugged a Chrome box to it so my guest could watch streaming movies via Netflix or Amazon Prime. The picture and sound are great. It has basic options such as picture settings, sound settings, and a few others.

Do I need to purchase a separate speaker to listen to music on the dot 2nd gen? Or is the self-contained speaker adequate to listen to music (much like a radio). If that's the only reason I would purchase the dot (to sound like a radio) what is advantage
The speaker is adequate. However i do recommend a bluetooth speaker, just so you can take the music with you...
