Great product - one flaw

This USB 2.0 quad-port works perfectly straight out of the packaging. I would have given it a 5-star rating except for one thing: the too-short cord connecting to the computer. It's only two inches long, greatly restricting where it can be placed. My choice was putting it over a fan or letting it dangle in front of the computer. That cost the rating one star.

Had a number of hard drives that I'd removed from obsolete systems and wanted to access them in my new computer. I was disappointed that this docking station is not compatible with older hard drives. Be sure to check your drives to be sure they are compatible.

Really rugged - maybe too much?

This HDMI cable is built like a fortress - able, I'm sure, to withstand major wear and tear. Works perfectly for my job at hand. Only thing is the surrounding insulation around the jack makes it a bit thick to fit into restricted ports. I had to bend back the framing surrounding my sound card in order to plug the cable in. That cost one star.

Works great right out of the box. AC units can be really noisy, but this is not so bad. A window kit is included, but did not really work for me since I have non-typical windows. Still, I was able to jerry-rig a setup using one of the provided pieces that seems to be working fine. The remote is handy and gives good control of the unit.

Can I use this to transfer files from a hard drive that was removed from a bad PC and transfer those files to a new pc?
Not all hard drives are compatible with this docking station, especially older ones. Check for compatibility first.

It say it is 8' which means 8 feet, but the specifications state it is 8 inches. Which one is it? That is a big difference.
