we purchased this unit for a rental property which does not have central air conditioning. the tenants are quite happy with this unit as it keeps the 3 main rooms cool. they supplement the bedrooms with fans. we will put in central air in the 1st floor with a subsequent project and move this unit to the 2nd floor where it is difficult to run new ductwork.
the portability is truly worth considering if you have an apartment.

we've used a modem cable for years and knew it was time to upgrade when streaming shows would time out - researched the market and found this model to be "future ready". having used it for a month we have not had a single incident of streaming time out and our teenage gamer is happy as can be gaming away in the basement. - highly recommend to use with a netgear nighthawk router - we use the AC5300. highly recommend this cable modem - saves money as you don't pay cable company for renting a never-upgraded box from the cable company.

If you can't reasonably install an external antenna this model will work. Reception can change with conditions so be don't chase me down if you're watching pixilated movies in the middle of a thunderstorm. I honestly recommend getting an external ( more work/expense) antenna...which i am going to do.
