Great earphone and mic

My wife's computer would not recognize her built in mic for a language program. After connecting this unit, everything works fine for her. Not expensive, but does a great job.

microphone switching

Is there a switch that enables "talk" via the microphone. EG Talk only when switched? Insignia on ear analog monoheadset

there is no switch. You can both listen and speak without doing anything.
