Best of the GPS Brands

All our GPS units are Garmin, we currently have 2 vehicle models (including this one), and a handheld Legend. We've tried other makes (Magellan, TomTom, etc.) and exchanged them for Garmins for various reasons.
The one this recent purchase replaced was our newest (only 47 months old), and would not power up or take a charge. It doesn't get used a lot, and probably had less than 60 hours total use. Best Buy informed us the internal battery was shot, and not replaceable as on older units. It will not even work when plugged in if the battery is bad, what a racket! GOOD THING WE BOUGHT THE BEST BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY, and we discovered the failure before the 48th month passed, they replaced it with this one. However, we were informed the battery is not replaceable on this one either, so again we bought that warranty.
It's a little more difficult to navigate the menus on this one compared to all our older ones (i.e. entering and saving Favorites).
So because of the difficulty and non-replaceable internal battery, I give this only 3 stars. But it's still better than the other brands.

Makes Any Custom Stereo Appear Factory

PRO: One kit can handle several applications.
CON: I paid a lot of money for a lot of pieces that went in the trash, only one piece was needed for my installation. The rest, about 8 large and small pieces were worthless to me.
I would rather see them sell specific pieces for each application for less money than have us waste all the pieces that could be used elsewhere. It creates more plastic waste for the environment at our excess cost.

Great Bass, No Subwoofer Necessary

Bought 2 pair to connect to an Alpine CDE-153BT head. A bit pricey, but the sound quality is awesome run through an amp and I don't have space to spare for a subwoofer. I highly recommend!

Great Sound, Affordable Price

I've always known the Alpine name to be synonymous with high quality, I used to be an audio installer back in the 80s. This unit is great when paired up with their compact amp and speakers, the sound quality is phenomenal, especially at higher volume. Features Bluetooth technology for hands free phone usage, and control of Pandora right through the deck. And who needs SiriusXM at $15/mo. when PandoraOne provides more customizable listening for 1/3 of the price completely commercial free? But this unit is capable with an add-on module.
My only complaints are that the settings menus can be complicated and people complain the phone mic makes me sound like I'm speaking from a stadium.

Can I use wireless speakers with this radio?
I am purchasing it to use on a boat which has an SR-100 Sirius Receiver that is upgraded to receive audio signal as well as Sirius Weather. Will need connector from the SR-100 to the radio as well
No. Not without some type of wireless transmitter wired to the stereo.
