The perfect "personal item" for flying

I love this backpack!! I travel for work a lot and the last thing I want to do is check a bag. I can fit all of my essentials between my carry on luggage and this backpack. It fits under the seats in front of me in the plane every time. Use caution when "filling" all of the pockets, as the depth may prevent under-seat placement. But I've had a laptop, two tablets, full size headphones, CD book, small toolkit, long (and dense) HDMI cable, 8x10 brochures, some small parts, remote controls and my other work essentials and all of this fits under the seat with no issues.
Plenty of specialty pockets for glasses, phones, laptop, books and such. Well worth the investment.

Why the back shell?

My original iPad had a magnetic smart cover that worked wonderfully. This new generation smart cover encloses the entire iPad. I find it to make the newer iPad more bulky. What's the point in making the device slimmer and then adding all of the additional mass with a fully enclosed cover.
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is any other option available from Apple.

Better than the Insignia

As mentioned in a previous post, the Insignia version of this unit stated (inside the packaging, discovered after I had opened it) not to plug in with less than 30 feet of wire to the circuit box. This steered me toward the Monster Power wall plug.
No issues with being right by the circuit box. However, when my phone and tablet are plugged in, both display notifications that I should use the factory charger for faster charging. I'm using the factory-provided cables and both USBs are 2.1A outputs (which should be ample for fast charging capabilities). Not sure why, but the USB will not allow for fast charging on Samsung Tab S2 or GS7.

I never expect Insignia to meet the quality level of Monster or another big name brand, I only needed this to plug in a lamp, clock radio and a Sonos speaker, along with a couple USB cables for my phone and tablet.
Upon opening the package, there was a very small piece of paper folded up deep in the packing material that stated (paraphrasing):
"Do not connect to outlet with less than 30 feet of cable to the circuit breaker."
No mention of why, what would happen if I did, or any of this information on the OUTSIDE of the box. Needless to say, this was returned and Monter Power's similar offering was purchased (with no mention of a wire run distance requirement).
