After my LG V10 died (boot-loops galore) I picked up the S8+ after a little research trying to decide between this, the Note 8, LG V30, and the Pixel 2 XL. The combination large OLED screen, Qi charging, and microSD card slot made this the winner (with battery life edging out the Note 8, I don't need the pen that much, didn't really use it on my Note 3). This might sound funny, but the fact that this still has a headphone jack makes me very happy.
After using this phone for about a month I've found my expectations were exceeded and that I can only see two downsides: I miss the replaceable battery from my V10, and the curved screen makes it impossible to be satisfied with a glass screen protector (granted this is more on the protector, but it's something to consider if you're paranoid about scratching or chipping your screen).

I've been able to plug a couple of "wider" USB devices into this with larger than normal plugs, so I'm happy with the spacing. The only issue sI've had is that the keeper for the USB plug to the computer keeps coming loose in my bag and I'm afraid it'll get damaged while tumbling around in there.
