Nice, Small, & clear

Rich, beautiful tones. The crossover is really amazing - I can't say I've analysed many others, but listening to 'You know what' (N.E.R.D) displayed how the voice came *only* out of the top driver, and the separation of responsibilities between the drivers was really impressive. I found string instruments like cellos were just incredible (Canon in D felt like they were sitting in the loungeroom with me). I think these would actually be fine without a subwoofer for most purposes (particularly for music only, if you aren't an electronic music enthusiast).

These speakers deserve their fanfare and their price. I've had these speakers for almost a year now and I'm still blown away with the precision of the sound field, the amazing frequency reproduction, and their beauty.... Honestly, there are songs that I can only listen on these speakers... I play them in my car (which has a fantastic B&O stereo) and I cannot hear the same musicality, the same sound stage. These speakers are made for the audiophile.
On top of that they handle loud volume like I've never seen before. They don't become harsh at high volume, they sound as smooth as silk, almost taunting you to turn them up louder...

I own a recording studio and a very high end home theater. My theater has a velodyne dd15 subwoofer which cost close to $4000. Im pretty picky about sound and subwoofers in general. A friend asked me to go shopping with him for a new theater recently. After listening to every sub we could find in the under $500 class, this sub really stood out. I found the focals better once we hit the $1k price and the REL and Velodynes really shine as you raise the price, but at $500 this is a best in class sub. Goes deep and hits hard. I couldn't be happier with what I've ended up with ... last year at this time I had a 5.1 upstairs and a 5.1 downstairs in the exercise room ... now I have a 3.1 upstairs and a 2.1 downstairs and things have never sounded better (quality over quantity :-). Along with an older sub, the LX16s sound great and are just what we need downstairs (not exactly "critical listening" time while exercising).

I am not an audiophile and when talk turns to impedances and ohms my eyes glaze over. I want a solid system that sounds great. I readily admit that $50,000 worth of speakers would undoubtedly be wasted on me. My ear is simply not fine tuned to differentiate the very pricey sound range captured in speakers designed for those with the desire to invest in that level of quality. But, I do have standards. Speakers that are not subwoofers, yet muddy everything with heavy bass response, or those that have tinny upper ranges because of subpar tweeters are intolerable. No extraordinary sound that breaks the spell should exist.

Regarding video queality: My Oppo Blu Ray player has excellent abilifty to decodes and sends out HD video signals. My JVC projector projects great video image as long as you feed good quality video to it. The only job I require my receiver to do is to basically pass through video signals without any unnecessary modification. I have no complaint on how the Pioneer handles video signals so far. I don't do 3D in my house by the way. I just don't. So, I have no idea how this receiver handles 3D video signals.

First Let me say I have had this product for almost 2 years. I have a 50 inch TV, a 5.1 amp, 2 tower speakers, and a PlayStation 3.
In the 2 year period I have had the power go out in my house several times. Sometimes due to storms or outages in my city. The last major storm was hurricane sandy which knocked out my power. While other friends and family had to replace their products due to damages I did not have to. Originally I thought that this product would not do much but as time passed I have seen the benefit. The day I purchased this product and set it up a friend of mine stated he saw a picture quality difference. To be honest I heard a difference in my speakers but did not notice the picture difference until he stated it. I tested it out with and without my tv hooked up to it and found that there was less fuss.
Today I noticed that a indicator was on which meant the wiring was faulty and the device shut off the power to my stuff. I rewired the outlet and plugged in the panamax suddenly everything turned back on. I can not imagine how different it would have been if i did not have this product but I am happy I have it.
I also have several smaller panamax products hooked up to my smaller tvs in my other rooms and I recommend this to all my friends and family. Its a great additional protective measure to have.
In short this product has saved me tons of money and trouble. I'm pretty happy that i went out and got this.
