I recently used this lense for group shots at a wedding. The photos were great! Also good as a portrait lense on a crop sensor camera such as the Canon 7D Mark II.

I recently used this lense during a Wedding ceremony and Reception. The pictures came out clear. Because this lense is fast, I could set my shutter speed to 100 to 200 and did not require IS (image stability). The bokeh (out of focus blur) is nice and creamy. I can easily achieve professional quality photos using this lense. It is fun to use. I also have the 35mm Canon lense which is also fun to use.

I took a chance getting this camera for portrait and wedding event photography as the 5D Mark III is recommended for this. I'm glad I took the chance and purchased the Canon 7D Mark II. I highly recommend this camera. It has excellent low light ISO capability especially paired with a lens like Canon's 70-200mm 2.8L IS and 35mm f2 and/or 85mm f1.8 lenses. Wedding reception photos came out clear at ISO 800 to 6400 in a dark banquet hall using off camera flash. This camera is phenomenal. I own the Canon t5i which is a highly impressive camera. Friends and clients cannot believe the photos I'm getting with the T5i. The Canon 7D Mark II just takes everything to the next level. Autofocus is spot on even in low light and with fast moving subjects. One of the best investments I've made in camera gear!
I started with Canon's T5i and the kit lenses that came with the camera. It is fun to use and gives high quality photos. You can use both the EF-S and EF series lenses. I also own the Canon 7D Mark II which is a professional camera. I use both at weddings.

Is the body compatible to most of lenses?
I have an old canon. Is rebel. I would like to know if I can use my lense with this camera?
