What is "a dongle" (re: to a digital photo frame)?
Some of the "Pandigital" photo frames indicate that they are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-compatible; to allow wireless access, a dongle is required but not included in the box. Please explain what this is.
A "dongle" is basically a small, additional piece of equipment that is sold by the manufacturer that allows you to add another feature to your product. For example, if you wanted to add wifi capability to your product, you would buy the dongle that the manufacturer recommends and attach it. They are usually proprietary, meaning they are only made by that specific manufacturer for that specific product.
