Roomba works great! Our house is two story with both carpet and hardwood on the main level. We also have two dogs, one who sheds like its his job. We got tired of carrying our upright vacuum up and down the stairs every few days. Now we just turn the Roomba on when we run errands every other day and let it pick up all the dog hair. We had to pick up a few "lighthouses" to keep it in the area's we need or the Roomba will get trapped in a room and not find its way back to the docking station.
If we were to do anything different, we'd have gone with an upgraded version that you can program and map your house with online. It'll save you some hassle and money by not needing the "lighthouses."

Long story short, we bought this item to replace our surround sound. New house and the room was making it difficult to set everything up the way we wanted. The sound bar produces great sound and is more than adequate when watching TV or listening to music. However, if your a movie buff and like to rock the action scenes you might be a bit underwhelmed. The sound can get a bit tiny if your basting it and there is a lot going on in your show. To resolve the problem I'm going to pick up a subwoofer to take care of the lower register of sound.
Aside from that small issue (which my wife says she can't tell) this is an awesome product. Great applications. We're able to play music from our phones, laptops, tablets, and desktops. Not just from our library, but from any streaming app as well.

We picked this item up because the WiFi in our house was weak in some areas. I our last house I attempted to use a "range extender," and the results were disappointing. A friend told me the WiFi units that come from the cable companies aren't the best and to pick up this item. He was right. I now have a very strong signal everywhere in the house. The router is located in a corner on the second story, and I have no problems streaming HD movies on the far side of the house in the basement. It might be a tad pricey, but it fixed all my WiFi issues.

Couple of options. You can buy a surround sound system and plug all your devices into it (probably routing through the TV would be easiest). If you can find one that comes with Wireless rear speakers then you're golden. Odds are its not out there. So, RocketFish makes a wireless adapter that you plug into your surround sound to make your rear speakers wireless. You'd then plug your rear speakers into a receiver. So not totally wireless, but no wires from the front of your room to the back.
Next option is to buy wireless speakers (not sure who makes them) for your rear speaker. Again there would be an adapter that plugs into your surround sound to send the signal to the rear speakers.
Last, and most expensive option is to get the SONOS system. Totally wireless for all your speakers. As an added bonus you can play sound from any of your devices (phone, computer, tables....) via your home wifi network. Very versitle, but expensive.
Next option is to buy wireless speakers (not sure who makes them) for your rear speaker. Again there would be an adapter that plugs into your surround sound to send the signal to the rear speakers.
Last, and most expensive option is to get the SONOS system. Totally wireless for all your speakers. As an added bonus you can play sound from any of your devices (phone, computer, tables....) via your home wifi network. Very versitle, but expensive.

First, if the system doesn't say "wireless speakers" then you will have to buy adapters and that can get messy and annoying. Most of the wireless adapters send the signal to a receiver that is wired to the speakers its controlling.
Another option (expensive, but totally wireless with lots of versatility and other applications) is to make a surround sound system using the Sonos systems. You buy one adapter and it controls all your other Sonos speakers through your home WiFi.
