Bought this for my hubby and I've been wearing it some too. Love that it's water proof-swam in it with no problem. And love that you get text & phone notifications. As for accuracy I think it's pretty good. I have noticed that not all my steps or stairs get counted if I'm carrying something but that's expected with no GPS. Overall I've been super pleased and am planning on buying myself one. And yes I did my research, chose this over other brands & would definitely still choose this one again.

Do you have to recharge the battery?

Yes. You can go about 4 to 5 days before charging. It comes with a USB cord to charge it.
