Doesn't work for audible books

I expected to replace my old iPod with the Walkman, but it was not clear on the packaging that it would not work with Audible books. On the computer, the books appeared to download to playlists and then to the device, but they didn't. There was no message to let me know the downloads would not work. I was very disappointed - I liked how the Walkman operated, looked, and sounded for music, but I listen to books, too, so this did not work for me.
