Bought this as part of a Samsung appliance set despite the poor reviews on the dishwasher (the other appliances are working fine). It is pretty quiet but it does not get dishes clean. Residue on glasses and silverware on every wash cycle. Plates and other items are hit or miss. Takes nearly 3 hours for a cycle. Smells on the inside even after cleaning the inside. I've tried every brand and type of dishwasher soap and several rinse aids, none make a difference.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just not that good

Takes 3-4 hours to complete a wash. Dishes have to be checked for food particles after each wash. I would not recommend any Samsung dish washers after experiencing this model. We have been using for several months and if I could afford it I would buy another and trash this one.
Pros: there are none
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, does a poor job of washing dishes

Avoid like the plague

If you could carry a dishwasher on a plane, this lemon would make the news and Samsung would make an effort to right their wrongs. Within 6 months to 1 year of purchase, you get error codes out the wazzoo and their is no remedy if you are just out of warranty. This is an over-engineered appliance. With luck, everyone who bought this will get a whopping $5 back from the class-action suit that is bound to occur eventually.
Cons: Poor quality, over-engineered

Back in May of 2014 my husband and I replaced all of our appliances in our home with samsung appliances. Since the beginning of this year I have had a recall on my washer, my ice maker replaced on my refrigerator (thank god for the extended warranty we purchased due to the cost of the refrigerator.) Now here it is my Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher has decided it now does not want to work, the cost to have it repaired is totally ridiculous. It is not like I have a large family and it gets used extensively it is just my husband and myself. But let me tell you we have purchased Samsung many times over the years and never had problems, but now we are having nothing but problems with these appliances, I am just hoping my microwave and stove don't go. If it does I will be purchasing an appliance package from a completely different maker.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The dishwasher is junk. Won't run a whole cycle because of "Overflow Sensor"

Dishwasher works okay sometimes. But more and more regularly, it stops mid cycle to error out with a "Smart Auto" and "Heavy" lights flashing indicating that the dishwasher is "Over-Level Water Sensor". We had the board replaced in it during our first year of ownership, and I've personally replaced one of the sensors, but the problems always return. This thing needs a recall big time.
Cons: Poor quality, doesn't wash, constant errors, poor warranty

If Youre Getting "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" on "01" Model

I truly hope this post helps someone because I have done a lot of research on this issue regarding the "01" model and have not seen this fix posted yet - but SURELY someone has this same issue. My dishwasher has been giving me the "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" flashing lights on and off for about a month now until it finally would not get through the first wash without stopping. Everyone and their mother online says its an overflow issue and to replace the ECS Sensor, Main PCB and Case Brake assembly - DON'T! First of all, the "01" model does not have an ECS sensor, it has a thermistor so don't waste your time. Secondly, the repair manual clearly states that on the "01" model, the "Heavy" and "Smart Auto" lights flashing is an indicator of a DRAIN issue - not an overflow issue!
HERES THE FIX (it fixed mine anyway) - There is a small black rubber piece called a "Drain Check Valve" and it is installed backwards from the factory! Unscrew the bottom cover inside the dishwasher and thats where you will find this piece, towards the back. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift it up out of its holder, TURN IT AROUND, and reinstall everything. After completing this, my dishwasher has been running with no problem. There is a video available from Repair Clinic on how this piece should be installed. It is IMPORTANT to put the beveled edge in the right way.

Nothing but problems

Had nothing but problems with sensors and electronic controls. Used machine for 6 months and it had repairman out 2 times. Finally gave up on it after 3 repair and it broke again.
Cons: Poor quality
