Awful appliance

This dishwasher is awful. It didn’t clean the dishes all that well, and it broke after barely over a year. We called to have it repaired and the service person that came said it would be cheaper to buy a new dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2year and 5 months ago. It’s completely broken. The extended warranty I purchased through the vender bought from sucked. I now have an expensive dishwasher that is useless.

Beautiful design with a slightly flawed execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek design with a solid list of cleaning modes. A few negative features: the top rack will occasionally leave cups inexplicably more dirty than when they went in. The door hinge makes a metal groaning sound when it opens. I LOVE Samsung products and have a house full of them, but this product is not my favorite.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Avoid Samsung

I purchased this product in December 2020. In the first year, it was serviced under warranty twice. I have had it serviced multiple times since. I would urge you to avoid Samsung appliances in general. We purchased the dishwasher, as well as a refrigerator, washer, and dryer when we purchased our new home. We've had issues with the dishwasher and washer. The warranty simply doesn't cover the quality of the product. The price might seem fair upfront but you pay for it on the back end.

Don't buy

We bought this dishwasher 16 months ago and it has already started leaking and the motor sounds like it is grinding. This is the second dishwasher from Samsung in 4 years. Of course it is out of warranty so we have to buy another one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After 2 yrs black-gray dirt residue on dishes

looks nice, very quiet, controls are easy to use, dries well, I like the auto-door open feature... but it does NOT clean well. After a little over two years of use with jet-dry and detergent pods and even after an extensive deep cleaning this dishwasher still leaves disgusting black and gray residue in our dishes (coffee cups, bowls, glasses, etc.). After trying everything to clean following the manual (vinegar, empty wash, etc) I followed some internet tutorials and disassembled the racks and the plastic tube framework inside the dishwasher and found chunks of disgusting gray food matter with flecks of black etc. jammed behind the main gray plastic pipe in the rear of the wash cabinet. also found food residue in the nooks and on the underside of the topmost third tray. I thouroughly cleaned everything and reassembled it but even after removing all of this disgusting stuff it is still leaving black flecks of disgusting residue on our dishes. It worked great for the first year or so, but a dishwasher of this price should last 6+ years without significant problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Buyer Beware

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sensor trash after only three years of very light usage. Samsung Support advice… “It will be cheaper just to buy a new one. Would you like me to add one to your cart?” So the life expectancy of a dishwasher is only three years. Redid my kitchen three years ago and installed all Samsung appliances. I’ve had to replace the ice maker in the fridge twice and now the dishwasher is not repairable. I will never buy Samsung again.
