Here are some tips to help prevent rust from forming inside your dishwasher:

1. Check if it can be removed with a soft nylon pad.
2. For better results use baking soda mixed with water to paste-like consistency and rub the affected area.
3. Remember to always rub with the grain when cleaning stainless steel to prevent visible marks. (If rust comes off the surface is not corroded and it is not a defect of the product but a stain caused by foreign substances or debris. Run a short empty cycle to rinse out the inside of the tub.)
4. Be careful not to add foreign substances such as salts or small metal objects and clean out the filter from any debris left behind after washing to prevent rust stains from occurring.

Highly dissapointed in this dishwasher.
First off this dishwasher is only 2.5 years old. Initially we had an issue with it right out of the box, the rollers on the upper regular drawer were broken. Ok no big deal, contacted the place we bought it from, they took care of it, got us a drawer same day and we were happy.
A few nights ago we were running the wash cycle and it stopped mid cycle and started pumping non stop. “LC” on the screen. Looked it up, said possible leak detected by the moisture sensor. Pulled the unit out and found some water but nothing crazy. Inspected everything well, and found the lower base is cracked all the way across the back, and was leaking water down the left corner onto the floor.
Of course it’s out of warranty and now useless without tearing it apart and replacing the base plate. Honestly the drawer design isn’t the best, way too many vertical rods when trying to load bigger bowls and dishes. The 3rd drawer doesn’t seem to always get cleaned, and the spinner part under the second drawer has fallen off 2-3 times in the last 2.5 years.
After spending 5-6,000 replacing all of our appliances at one time 2.5 years ago with Samsung, having this dishwasher issue, the stove/oven DOA right out of the box, poorly designed non childproof knobs for the front of the stove (they’ve since changed them and have a dual push lock knob, but offered us some chincy locks to slide behind the knob which we would have to remove every time to use the stove), and the microwave wasn’t assembled all the way out of the box (upper fan hardware was not tight causing a bunch of noise), we will never buy any Samsung appliances again. Our washer and drier, and all the TVs in our house are Samsung. Listen to the advice we blew off, and stay away.

Worse dishwasher I have ever bought!!

This is a horrible dishwasher! I'm better off just washing my dishes myself! I actually wash my dishes before I put them in the dishwasher to make sure no food is left on them. Guess what they come out dirty still. And that 3rd rack is useless if you put items on the middle rack. This dishwasher is a waste of money and time unless you want storage! 1 is too high of a rating in my opinion.

Worst of the worst do not buy it. Terrible design with racks that were overly engineered, filters that get dirty too often and FC error code that appears too frequently. It is very noisy and who said that the feature to open the door after finishing is convenient ?????

NO SAMSUNG APPLIANCES - TV only

Lasted two years. Stopped finishing cycle. Hired appliance repair, said it is a known bug and no fixing it.
Also stopped draining. 16 screws to remove and clean filter, still not draining. Throw out after two years, what a waste.

dies with barely any use

We're a mostly hand-washing family, except when we have a lot of guests. So we've used this machine about 15-20 times over 2 years. Now the pump is dead

AWFUL DISHWASHER - LOUD, POOR DESIGN DIES in 2yrs

This dishwasher looked great but it leaves the dishes dirty specifically the bowls have residue left on them, the cups are filmed and the silverware does not come clean. So we pre wash everything and have tried many different dish soaps. We had the warranty replace the top tray because the plastic coating was worn away and it was rusting, only to have it happen again in six months from replacement. It is loud to the point we are no longer using it until we leave the room at night. Now it has stopped working completely after two years of ownership, and the warranty department said it is no longer a covered appliance
