The Samsung DW80F600UTS/AA cleans dishes well and is very quiet.

The stainless steel door is difficult to keep from water stains. The dishes and glasses do not dry well. I would prefer not having to dry my dishes by hand. With a full drying agent compartment, using the sanitize option, they still do not dry. I would not reccommend this dishwasher unless you like hand drying your dishes.
Pros: gets dishes clean, warranty is better than other major brands., quiet
Cons: Did not meet expectations, does not dry dishes, stainless steel door is subject to water stains
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We purchased this unit several weeks ago and have used it many times. What we can't seem to figure out is why the dishes are still wet after a complete cycle has finished. We even turned on the sanitize option as we read that would help dry them. Well no such luck. Yes we have rinse aid in the unit. So until we figure this out, we are still using a towel to dry the dishes before putting them away.
So why are the dishes still wet???

Hi PS0303,
Besides using a rinse aid and selecting Sanitize, the other factor that may impact the drying performance is whether the door is kept closed. Opening the door before the cycle is complete can allow hot air to escape, and maintaining the heat inside the unit is important since it's this residual heat that evaporates the water. Now, since plastics don't retain heat well, it isn't unusual to have moisture remaining on items made of plastic, as well as in the recessed bottoms of cups and glassware.
I hope this helps! Ms. Samsung

A poorly designed and poor working dishwasher. Look for another. I would return if I could.

This dishwasher is not as good as my old dishwasher. It has poor design. It would seem to have more room but nothing fits well in an organized manor or stands up properly and you can not load it up too full or with anything tall as it will either prevent soap from dispensing or the top washer from working. It is loaded with plastic parts that get in the way or become floppy. What seemed to be a better design of moving utensils to the side instead of the door prevents closure of the carriage and other problematic situations. Dishes do not completely clean continually. Pass on this and look for a different design from Samsung or other. I wanted it to work but the bad reviews are completely justified. If I could return it, I would, but it took longer than 45 days to figure out it stinks.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations

So far so Good!

One at a time, I have had to replace my all of my home appliances. Started with Samsung because I liked the look, the price and the features. Have had only one problem with a stove I purchased over 2 years ago and when I called to have it fixed I didn't wait for the phone to be answered or get put off because I hadn't registered my product. The company was very helpful with getting all of my appliances registered and since then I have continued to go with their products. This dishwasher has done everything so far as advertised. Only with it had a separate button for dry, on the Auto Wash cycle dishes are still wet ( guess that's to save energy). Other than that I LOVE IT!! I love to brag about all of my new appliances and can't wait to see what I get to replace next, although I think we have already replaced everything.......
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

doesn't work!

We bought this unit because we liked the features: food grinder, heated dry cycle, pot/pan cycle, etc. We have had this unit break down on us three times. Unfortunately, this last time it is just out of warranty. It has always been the same problem. It loses its mind and quits running. We were told it was a sensor and that sensor was replaced TWICE. The same thing has happened within 4 months of the last incident. It has never dried the dishes, not only are they damp but huge puddles are setting on them. You don't pay this amount of money for a dishwasher to go out on you in just over a year let alone 3 times!!
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. Samsung, HQ, June 16, 2015
Hi KJ1936,
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. With regard to the drying, this and other Samsung Dishwashers utilize Fan Condensing Technology which relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate water and save energy. To maximize the effectiveness, it's recommended to use a rinse aid, select Sanitize when possible, and leave the door closed until the cycle is complete. Since plastic doesn't retain heat, it isn't unusual to have some moisture remain on items made of plastic. In addition, water pooled in upside-down cups and other containers may not be able to evaporate fully. Loading these items at an angle so the water can drain rather than pool will help to alleviate this issue.
If the problem with the sensor is recurring, please call 800-SAMSUNG or use the online Support Form available through this link to enable us to assist you: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/request
