Works Better than ANY I've Ever Owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung StormWash™ 48dBA Dishwasher looks like something you would find in a model home; it has an elegant look in my kitchen and just fits in like the kitchen was built around it. But looks are not what makes this dishwasher stand out: it truly is extremely quiet and very efficient. When running you can barely hear it (it puts out about 45-50 dB; I measured it) and the most noise it really makes is in the last 15 minutes when the door pops open (the AutoRelease dry feature, which helps drying) and a quiet fan goes on. This AutoRelease feature can be easily disabled if you do not like it. Overall, compared to the dishwasher it replaced, it is essentially silent, giving off a soft hum as it runs. Our family room is right next to the kitchen and with the TV on you would never know it was running, unlike our previous one. When it comes to cleaning, the dishes and silverware come out the cleanest I have ever had. It has an adjustable upper rack for glasses.
The third rack, or cutlery rack, allows a lot of silverware and serving ware to be cleaned easily, even long serving spoons (12 in for example), should the two provided silverware racks that fit in the bottom rack become full. We also use the third rack for lids for storage containers and other odd shaped items that need to be cleaned.
The dishwasher itself states to be ‘fingerprint resistant’ and so far that is not just an idle brag: it really is. I wish all my stainless steel appliances were; keeping it clean looking is a snap. Cleaning and maintaining the inside is easy as well.
My only negative is that the bottom rack sometimes get ‘off track’ and I have to adjust it to get it back in. I’m pretty sure it is because I am not yet used to it; my old dishwasher had a heavy and solid rack that did not do this.
Overall, a great addition to your kitchen; its quiet nature alone is worth it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m obsessed with this beauty. The stainless finish is looks great. No finger prints show at all. The adjustable racks are so helpful. I was able to fill with large pots and pans. I cannot believe how quite it runs. Sometimes I forget it’s on until the door opens when it’s done. I also love how it shows how much longer until done. It’s beautiful design gets complemented all the time. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher to all my family and friends.

Sleek design and powerful wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall a wonderful dishwasher with all of the right features to get the job done well.
Pros:
- The sleek handleless design not only helps to clear a little bit more room in the kitchen, it is also one less part that is constantly touched and has to be wiped down every day. - The fingerprint resistant finish is truly a life saver. - Top mounted controls are intuitive and responsive - The adjustable rack is very useful; I find myself changing it almost every other load to accommodate different sized items. - Special utensil tray on top is the reason I went for this model; I love no longer having to rely on the utensil baskets. - It does a fantastic job cleaning whatever I put in it. - The Auto-Door-Pop feature to help dry the dishes is an amazing feature and it does a great job. - The red accents add just the right amount of flair.
Cons:
- @48db it is as loud as my previous 10yr old dishwasher. - This version does not have the WiFi/SMART features which I was really hoping for as I was wanting to tie it into my home automation. - The front panel is extremely flimsy, even the lightest push causes sever flexing. So much so that was dented when being installed, it has since been repaired, however, I have to be extremely alert when touching it so as to not cause a dent myself. - The electrical connections on the back could have been lower, I had to modify the cable and hose holes in my cabinets to accommodate the placements as the dishwasher could not be fully seated using the old holes do to have Samsung routed the pieces.
All in all, I am happy with this dishwasher and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple washer without all the bells and whistles.

Solid dishwasher with a few drawbacks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a seriously powerful yet quiet dishwasher that will be the perfect fit for some and a good fit for most. If you prioritize a quietness and effectiveness, you’ll love this. If you prioritize usability and flexibility, this may not be the best fit for you.
Pros: - Very solid build quality - Extremely quiet - Powerful and effective cleaning - Sleek modern design Cons - Restrictive rack layout & spacing - Detergent clasp is temperamental
What I like: The best part of this dishwasher is how little you need to prewash the dishes before loading. I barely have to scrub burnt on grease before letting the dishwasher takeover. There also are no water spots thanks to the automated door release with five minutes left to vent the steam. The third rack is also particularly helpful. It’s a great way to wash serving utensils without taking up area in the main washing racks. To pull it all together this dishwasher is extremely quiet. It’s sometimes difficult to tell if it is even on.
What I don’t like: The layout of the rack prongs are unfortunately restrictive and not very welcoming to deep dishes. So if your everyday plates and bowls are deeper than the spacing of the rack prongs you will have to load them face down and take up a considerable real estate. There is also a really cool feature that allows the second rack to move up or down by two inches to accommodate larger pots on the first rack or stemmed wineglasses on the second rack. However, you do have to choose between washing a pot and washing stemmed wine glasses. So users should think through if the third rack is worth the trade off. The only build quality qualm I have is the detergent latch sometimes takes multiple attempts to stay closed.
As with any appliance, I would recommend potential buyers to think through whether the third rack is worth the trade offs. With the layout figured out, you'll certainly enjoy how effective and quiet this dishwasher is.

Disappointing

I bought this about 5 months ago and I'm so very disappointed with it's performance to say the least. I have completely read the instruction manual, made adjustments as suggested from the water temperature, to using the recommended dishwashing soap, the recommended rinse aid, and I still have to get an acceptable dishwasher load. Plates come out greasy, pots dirty and glassware hazy and spotty. Dishes do not dry properly, I have to dry them all when offloading the dishes. Very disappointed with this product. I'm trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what else to do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this dishwasher. It gets dishes clean and has not left food on after washes. I love that it’s so quiet and the family can carry on with our conversation without having to raise our voices to hear each other. I also like the self opening door after it’s done for two reasons. It lets everyone know that the dishes are done and ready to be put up and two it helps dry the dishes and does not leave dried water spots. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher
