Needs more engineering....

We were excited about the quiet opperation....then issues with cycle times lasting for hours and having to force drain cycle.
Pros: Inexpensive, quiet
Cons: Did not meet expectations, electronic issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice but stinky

I have always purchased Samsung items. However, not only does this dishwasher not dry dishes very well-it gets stinky. Even our old dishwasher (over 9 years old did a better job at cleaning and drying the dishes. I am very unhappy. Even with the jet dry product they recommend-the dishes still do not dry and they get stinky.
Cons: does not dry
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm sorry to hear your dishwasher has an odor. If you haven't done so already, please follow the instructions in the User Manual, which are also available in the online Troubleshooting Guide, for removing odors in the Dishwasher. Keep in mind that the odor is a result of food particles or water that is left standing inside, so removing those by following the tips should resolve this issue.
In addition to using a rinse aid, it's also recommended that you select the Sanitize cycle, check your hot water heater settings, and leave the door closed until the cycle is complete to maximize the effectiveness of the Condensation Drying. Of course, plastics may not dry thoroughly because they don't retain heat which is key to the energy-saving Condensation Drying technology.

Terrible Dishwasher

Purchased this dishwasher about three years ago. It very rarely thoroughly cleans a whole load of dishes. The dirty dishes need to be cleaned, by hand, either before or after going through the dishwasher. It is very frustrating. Typically food gets stuck on the dishes after going through the drying cycle and becomes very hard to get off. The stainless steel is difficult to clean as well. I am very disappointed in this product!

Cons: Did not meet expectations

There are a number of products available at your local appliance, hardware, home improvement or even grocery store specifically designed to clean real stainless steel. Simply follow the instructions on the package. Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. This will not only clean the stainless steel, but can help prevent fingerprints from recurring.

Poor Cleaning

The dishwasher does not clean very well. Even after we discovered having to be very careful as not to block upper rotating cleaner some dishes still come out with residue. In addition we are awaiting our third stainless steel front panel as the first was dented at the second scratched.
Pros: hidden buttons
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Top Controls, Needs Black not Silver screws

I love the top controls and the design. I love the 48 dB quietness rating.
The black kick plate at the very bottom by the floor is attached with silver screws. Sitting across the kitchen at the table, I can see the silver screws on the black kick plate. Samsung needs to use black screws instead of silver to make them less noticeable.
I just got this yesterday, so my required mandatory ratings are only based on one day of use.
Pros: quiet dishwasher, top controls
Cons: silver screws on black bottom kick plate
I would recommend this to a friend!

My new dishwasher

Only have been using dishwasher for about two weeks. So far it's been working great.
Easy to operate controls and the stainless steel is easy to keep clean. Also the large
handle on the door makes it easy to open. No complaints so far.

Spring sounds like rusted, noisy during drying

We have this dishwasher for 13 months. And now it started to make noise during drying. Also when opening and closing the door, there seems to be a spring inside it that is making a squeaking loud sound. I really liked the features of this dishwasher, but didn't expect that it will only last one year. Do you have any recommendations for a good technician in my area who is an expert on your products? Since there are so many bad reviews about this item, is Samsung going to provide any refunds to customers?

Not sure I would buy again

We bought all new Samsung appliances including this dishwasher. So far, this dishwasher has not worked well. It is quiet but off and on we keeping getting an overfill error code. We are at 13 months on the warranty (now out-of-warranty) even though we have only used it about 10 months, every other day.
This performance makes it not a good buy.
Cons: poor performance
