Looks beautiful but takes cycles to wash & dry dishes is too long

Detergent Door

Overall this dishwasher has been great the week I have been using it, with the exception of the Detergent Door not opening during the wash cycle - so when I open the door once the dishwasher is done the detergent gets all over the clean dishes up front and all over the door (Samsung - is this a common problem? )
Other wise it runs quietly and has a very sleek design.

Had trouble with unit on 2nd day. Samsung did replace the unit. Does not seem to perform as advertised. A lot of water drops left on door. Thought the heating of the unit would dry off the inside. Cycle is awful long.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thanks for your feedback. The DW80F600UTS is equipped with Condensation Drying Technology which relies on the residual heat on the dishes to evaporate water. This design helps to save money and energy compared to using a heater to dry the dishes. Because of this, it isn't unusual to have some moisture left on the walls of the dishwasher. Selecting the Sanitize cycle and using a rinse aid can help to maximize the effectiveness of Condensation Drying.

As indicated in the Cycle Chart on page 22 of the User Manual, cycle times may range from 106 minutes for a Normal cycle with no options selected to 152 minutes for a Heavy cycle with additional options, though actual times may vary if your home's hot water heater or water pressure are lower than recommended in the manual.

The User Manual includes a variety of tips and information that may help with other concerns as well, especially as they relate to maintenance. I replaced a 30+ year old dishwasher after the heating element went out. Amazing for it to have worked for all those years. Shopped for a full stainless steel in/out and settled on the Samsung DW80F600UTS/AA. Worked pretty well the first year cleaning and sanitizing dishes that were pre-rinsed. After the 1 year warranty ended, noticed it wasn't cleaning well, leaving light food still on the plates. Then 5 months after the warranty ended the sanitizing feature completely gave out and started getting high temperature heating errors. Was able to continue using the dishwasher without pressing the sanitize mode. Contacted Samsung online and opened a ticket but hadn't followed through yet. Then my washing machine machine (another brand) stopped draining, so contacted an applicance repair specialist to check on both appliances. Over the phone he said he could handle the washing machine but in his years of business, he and other repair specialist would not work on Samsung products. I referred back to the Samsung ticket and was given a repair quote for 3 parts, tax, and labor. Decided it was not worth getting it repaired and will be buying another dishwasher but it will not be a Samsung.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, expensive repair after warranty
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only had this about a year and a half and the control board went. The company that came to look at it basically said to go buy a new one. Parts are expensive and one needed part was not even being made anymore.
It's horrible to load as well. Dishes fit awkwardly and are crammed on top of one another.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased this dishwasher about 1-2 months ago. I love how quiet it is! It is also very nice looking.
However, I must say, I bought a Samsung because I have 3 of their TV's.
The dishes are not always as clean as I would like.
We are also having a foul smell coming from it after the door has been closed for a few days. Also, the stainless inside never seems to dry.
I have not addressed this with Samsung as of yet, but will very soon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This product has poor lower rack design

This dishwasher's design attempts to hold more plate than it capable of handling. It places the plates too close to each other, therefore you have to skip every other one or the plate don't get clean. The other space for bowls and other non plate can only hold about 4 to 6, depending on the size. Wish I had done more research. Would not purchase the same appliance again.

Cons: Did not meet expectations, no cancel after starting, no rinse only cycle
