We got our refrigerator about a month ago from my sister in law. The old filter was long overdue for a replacement and the water and ice kind of smelled funny. I installed this filter replacement and almost immediately, the smell was gone and both the ice and water tasted great. It was a little difficult to set into place, but once it found the groove, it went in and fresh water was ours.
