Good Product - but one BIG FLAW

Good product, very easy to set-up however one BIG FLAW is that there is no IFTTT support which is very disappointing.
Also from time-to-time the APP will not allow me to open or close the garage door due to "errors" so it has to be done manually - no biggie as I also have a control in the car.
Needs IFTTT support!!!
Pros: easy to set-up
Cons: no ifttt support

I do like my myQ garage door opener but after a couple of years with no IFTTT intergration it's lacking in possibilities that other garage doors have. I'd love to be able to use voice commands to operate overhead door. Now it seems I have to buy another smart device to do it. Very disappointed in Chamberlain.
Pros: works well with myq app
Cons: no ifttt support, ve, very limited options due to no ifttt supprt, no amazon echo integration

Fair product, but falls short of what could be...

The device works exactly as described. Pairing with the wall unit and your phone or other device is very easy.
What was left out was to make this device compatible with or "internet of thing" devices. Most people buy these types of devices to slowly get their home automated and generally make their lives easier. By not providing some sort of integration into things like IFTTT, they really miss the boat on future adoption of their device. If I had known better, I would not have made this purchase and would have went with a device that was integrate-able into home automation systems.
For instance, if I want to do things like automatically close the door at 11 pm if I forget to close it or close it when I drive away (based upon GPS location on my phone), and automatically open when I return. So much that one could do with that type of integration.
Pros: set-up, good price
Cons: lack of integration

It does the minnimum

You can open and close the door with your phone, that is about it. It does not have timers you can use to make sure the door is closed at night. It doesn't support IFTTT, so you could create your own timer. It doesn't support a widget you could use to create GPS fencing and have it open and close the door automatically. In other words the application is severely lacking. The response is the same when asked for updates, "We are looking into it." Really how many years do you look at something before you actually do it? I am looking at other devices, since this one is essentially unsupported and minimally useful.
Pros: i can open and close the door with my phone
Cons: no ifttt support, no widget to allow for gps fencing, no ability to close the door with timers

Works just as described

This unit is very easy to set up (got it on first try). It is very simple and institutive to use. The level of security of this app, if passcode is used, is similar to using the garage access keypad. The best part is that this app allows one to monitor the status of the garage door anywhere and controls it.
It is certainly an awesome tool; however, it can use some improvements.
Notifications will only be sent to the account holder if the door is completely opened or closed. No notification is sent if someone opens the door for 5 inches just to get some fresh air or stop the door leaving 5 inches. When the door is partially open, the app will indicate the door has been stopped and no notification is sent. It would be nice to have a option where a notification is sent to the user as soon as the door is opened (Similar to the RED light appearing on the myQ garage door monitor).

Doesn't Work w/ IFTTT or Google Home

Unfortunately this device does not allow you to use IFTTT to make it a true smart Garage. Also, if you are looking to ask google to open your Garage, you're out of luck. This lack of support for home automation makes this a pretty poor purchase. Wish I had gone with something else.

Poor product

This is my 3rd replacement in 8 months. Works for a couple of months then quits. Call and email support then go through all the troubleshooting and finally get a replacement that last maybe 2 months. Just got my latest replacement and it lasted one week. I hope you have better luck with yours. It works great when they work. I love the ease of use and being able to see when the door goes up and down. But the product just does not last.

Cons: short life span., constantly needs reset

The wifi ability of the product works fine. What's frustrating is that even after hundreds of customers have asked for IFTTT support, it has yet tone implemented and doesn't seem to be a concern of chamberlains. Sad.
