We saw one Brava 380t unit a few years ago at friend's house, it works fine and seems exactly the product we were looking for. We then bought one for ourselves. This unit wasn't like the one we saw before. It couldn't figure out walls, stairs etc. Not smart at all. We went back to store and got an exchange, the new unit worked great and we loved it. However, it started play funny after warranty expired. It can only swing to one direction and did it repeatedly. I sent video clip to the manufacturer, they had not fix, just offered me a replacement unit at discounted price, we got the replacement unit now for just two months, the unit starts acting up again. This time, it always stops, some time less than two minutes, some time it is lucky to have it last over five minutes. We have mixed feeling about this product, we have recommended it to too many friends. It works great and do exact what we are looking for. The problem is reliability. We have now ran into three different issues with three different units.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have the roomba machine and use the Braava also it really is conivient and also easy to use. I suffer from arthritis and both machines have been the best $$ spent

I have arthritis and find the lightweight unit to be very easy to handle. The hardest thing would be holding the heavy jug of cleaning solution that I use to fill the reservoir but obviously that is not the Braava's problem!. The pull tab on the reservoir is just big enough to slide your finger under and lift it up. It is not hard to do at all. We use the Braava on smooth bamboo floors after removing the larger debris with a Roomba 880. The Braava is very quiet so you need to listen carefully for it so you don't step on it. I personally prefer this to the sound of the Roomba but it is a little creepy at first. We have been using Bona wood floor cleaner without any problems. I fill up the reservoir first, then moisten the cleaning cloth with a little extra- if you don't do this it takes a long time for the edges of the cleaning pad to become wet enough to work. However, the operative word here is "moisten"- I have overdone it and it will leave streaks if there is too much fluid on the pad. But that's my fault. Using this system, we have never had to do any floor cleaning except in the tiny area of corner where the Roomba doesn't go. I bought the pair for a vacation home we use intermittently and didn't want to look for a cleaning service to take care of. We've had them less than a year, and I would guess we have already broken even on them by reducing the housework requirements to levels our family can easily handle without help. The other benefit is that we use MUCH less cleaning solution. I don't know how the little guy does it, but the reservoir only holds a few ounces of fluid and yet can clean a much larger area than one would expect it to be able to.

ok so I purchased the braava 380t just a couple days ago after watching some clips online and thought it was a nifty device. I'm not going to lie and I don't mean to bash iRobot but, this robot is nothing more then a glorified Swiffer. if your looking for a robot that will clean your floors from pet hair, dirt, dust, ext. I would definitely recommend getting yourself the Roomba 980. I have one and I absolutely love it. don't waste your money on the 380t. I will be sending mine back after this review.

I have slate floors through out my house and a sloped 14-24 ft. ceiling in my living room. According to customer support, the Braava 380t doesn't work optimally at ceilings over 10 ft. high. But this little guy does a great job, both dry and damp mopping, even with the high ceilings. I'm very pleased with it and love how quiet it is. It's a great complement to my Roomba 880, which I also love.
