Love cooktop, dislike oven

Cooktop works well. Oven takes a long time to preheat. After turning off oven, a motor/fan runs for up to an hour to "cool down", shooting warm air into the kitchen. Like front of range controls, but silver plate scratches easily. Many "food catching" seams.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I replaced a similar GE unit that was seventeen years old and the improvements are awesome especially the cooktop surface

The finish is a great addition to our kitchen. It evenly heats on the burners and also the oven is the best part of this unit. The only downside is the angle of the control panel is a great food and splash catcher. I will add that the owners manual is written by a 2nd grader sorry 2nd graders with above average minds. Install guide not much better.

Cook top Knobs hard to read. White print on light silver surface dumb. Oven seems to cook hotter than my old one. Bottom pull out drawer is flimsy. I would rather have my old oven back, but glass top cracked and was thirty years old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am not sure that the designated temperature is maintained. I bought an oven thermometer and found that the temperature I choose for a particular recipe is about 10-15 degrees lower than the temperature that I set. This is the regular temperature not convection. I do a lot of baking so I am constantly watching my cookies and cakes. I have a GE Gas stove in my home in Maine that I love but this is a condo and I can only use electric.(We are in Florida for 4-5 months of the year.
