Good appliance....replaced a GE Profile similar

I had to replace my GE Profile as top shattered due to poor installation...
It was 12 years old. GE did NOT do the install. Bought a less expensive
stove. Oven and range top work very adequately. Do not like that there
is no handle on bottom storage door, and the cooking pad feels like it
is just a plastic covering. I have no issues with the oven, or stovetop.
Think GE products are good and very reliable.

Nice Range But Description Misleading

The range is great overall, but what GE describes as a "bridge" is nothing more than two lines painted on the glass cook top, and the "bridge" is basically setting a griddle on both element and hoping they heat somewhat evenly. We were under the impression that it had a true bridge element, so buyers should be made aware of that.

Cooking made easier

I bought this range almost a year ago. I never had a convection oven before and I'm still learning how to use it but I love using it. The heating elements heat up immediately and I normally don't have to set any temperature higher than medium. You do have to have the proper cookware but it cooks like a dream. The only complaint I have is trying to keep the black cook top clean. It's beautiful when clean but I find myself constantly having to clean smears and streaks constantly.

Oven Temperature poor performance

The oven does not maintain a constant temp and significantly overheats in both the normal mode and the convection mode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
