Overall a good purchase

I like everything except the knobs for the cooktop. They are too easy to turn on, without even knowing my husband has turned on the cooktop. Not a good thing, especially if you have things that were set on the cooktop. This wasn't a problem with my last GE range.

So Far...REALLY like'n this range

Have had the model 750DF1 for about a month now. REALLY like'n it. Features are great and simple to use. Gave this 4 stars for two reasons, 1) At this price point GE should give us a warming drawer instead of just storage. 2)The "Bridge Burner" is not a true "Bridge" as stated in the description and the manual. Yes, the burners are close enough to Bridge a griddle, But, unless their is a mystery burner under that "Marked Bridge space"..... well... you git my point. On the upside the oven is superb and the convection IS "True Convection" with a third heating element. The triple ring Power burner is GREAT! Faster and hotter then any electric smooth top I've cooked on to date. (I've tested quite a few, and cooked in many kitchens)You can personalize many options from Sabbath to preheating. The only draw back some of you may face is keeping the smooth top clean.IT IS A "BLACK" SMOOTH TOP RANGE!! Totally different than a Coil top!!! Use the recommended CREAM CLEANER!! Do Not use Ammonia based spray cleaners!!They will streak and eventually etch the Ceramic Glass Top.(Wndx)!!! A mist of water and a soft face cloth will do for daily touch ups. Isopropal or 70% rubbing Alcohol works well too for daily clean ups. BUT ONLY ON A COMPLETELY COOL RANGE TOP!!!!!! So all in all thumbs up GE, Your Still "Bringing Good Things To Life!"

We've only had the range 3 weeks and have not used it much yet. I did bake a pound cake and it took longer than usual and fell, not a good sign! The elements heat up quickly and seem to cook evenly. My only complaint is how difficult it is to keep the stovetop clean. Other than that, it is a beautiful stove and looks great with our new granite!
