Nice oven

I purchased this oven last spring. We got it in white, which is WAY easier to keep clean than stainless steel. The dark cooktop has to be cleaned frequently to stay nice-looking; it shows every watermark, dust,etc. Upgraded from a coil stove - the cooktop takes some getting used to but once you do, it's fine. Love all the features on this.

Nice stove but...

The stove and oven it nice. Better than my 30 year old one... However there are no instructions on how to turn on or operate the bridge burner.

Cool top surface hard to clean.

Prior to purchasing this smooth top stove we had another GE convection unit with the 'grey/black' smooth top (can't remember the model number, purchased about 8 years ago). That cleaned up much nicer with the cleaning paste/materials made for that tip of surface. This unit has an all black surface which is much harder to clean and does have some areas we can't get back to as it was when purchased just 4 months ago. We haven't used the self cleaning oven function yet. Other than that the unit works great with most of the functions being easy to follow once reading the owners manual. Just a comment ... good luck on trying to find a phone number for GE support on this unit ... all the numbers in the owners manual are for service calls.

Works great. Cook timer takes a little getting use to to operate. Like the convection oven as an option as well.
