love that the product takes up less space on the bathroom sink, is quick to charge/ready to use, and offers flexibility of brush choices. powerful, offers a truly well-scrubbed kind of clean!

Die after 18-24 months

My previous Oral-B NiCad powered toothbrush lasted over a decade. I bought three of these for the family in December of 2016 and they are all dying and will no longer charge. I really wish the batteries were user replaceable in these models without completely disassembling them and using a soldering iron! I'll be switching to an alternate product with a better battery and longer life expectation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This isn't the Oral-B experience we'd hope for and we want to help your family get back to brushing with us. As the first place to start, we suggest fully running out the battery on each of the brushes and then charging them in different electrical outlets. Also, ensure you're not charging the brushes on a metal surface. The metal can interfere with the charging process. If they're still not working after this, please give us a call at (800) 566-7252?

Terrible Toothbrush

I bought this product a week ago and it was a HUGE mistake. The head is very hard and there is virtually no pressure sensitivity. Terrible toothbrush for sensitive gums. While the brush pulses every 30 seconds, it does not turn off after 2 minutes, requiring you to pay close attention to the amount of time that you have been brushing. I have been using a Quip for the last 2 years and thought this brush would be an upgrade. Needless to say, I will be returning it. Save yourself the hassle and buy something else.

This toothbrush stopped working within 3 months of purchasing it. I would recommend another product unless the company is willing to return it and send another one.

Planned to fail after 2 years max

We've been using these brushes in various versions over the last 15 years or so. The features per dollar have gone down as they introduced increasingly expensive models with extras I can see no use for. This is a toothbrush, folks! I have serious gum issues, and these toothbrushes have been excellent at improving my gums. They clean very well, and I love having them. What I never have liked is that they are using a battery technology (NiMH) that is almost guaranteed to fail within 1-2 years. In the early years, that was the only option. Today, this technology is totally obsolete. Oral B will not replace it, though, because you have to buy a new toothbrush every 2 years (if you're lucky). In summary, this IS a great toothbrush - just expect to be replacing it on a regular basis.

Toothpaste jams rotary mechanism

After using, I rinse unit thoroughly before placing back on charger. Next day unit won't run, though motor hums. Can't pull brush off of unit. Crest toothpaste has solidified in unit, despite the rinsing. Unit only a few months old.

Great cleaning, Needs Charging too often.

I would ONLY recommend this product because of the great cleaning job that it does WHEN it doesn't NEED A CHARGE. AND then when it needs a charge, you have to wait 10 hours? So, you don't brush your teen when it needs charging? I've had to purchase two Oral-Bs so I always have one charged. I also does NOT Hold a CHARGE for ONE WEEK! I would say change the type of battery so it would last longer and charge faster but ONLY IF they don't raise the price of the brush. They are over priced as they are.

We can understand your frustration. The Pro 1000 is designed to take up to 22 hours to fully charge, and last up to 7 days on one charge, based on a brushing schedule of 2 minutes twice a day.
